@@HK28041 The scene itself is still so powerful. He turned his back to the enemy. This alone shows how difficult it was for him to get control of himself. How concentrated he was at that moment. I’m incredibly glad that they deepened the story of Kratos so much.

Could you imagine the mental strain on your body to constantly hold back. That is what it means to master yourself. To not let go of yourself through emotions to always be in control it takes effort to be the one to decide how you will react to an outcome and not let your feelings take the wheel
In this moment kratos accidentally gave in when Thor brought up his son and It is understandable any father would loose it for a moment. But the face he makes when he threw that punch that knocked thors teeth out. His face was shocked because he didn't want to do that he lost it.
You perfectly capture what makes this scene so powerful. Another moment and kratos would have torn Thor’s body limb from limb with his bare hands.
Just a reminder if kratos was not holding back in gow 4 and 5 they would be one single game with like 2 hours of playtime only og gow fans know

The entire arc of GOW 1 - 3 was about getting revenge and trying to get rid of the nightmare that haunt him

Those who say that don't care about the character and just want to see him in disgrace, Kratos deserved the ending he had in Ragnarok, Kratos never It was this monster that people think he was, he committed evil things, but he was blinded by revenge and did everything to protect his family and his people, so much so that when his revenge ends, the young Kratos himself says that his revenge ends there. and takes his own life to return the hope of Pandora's box to Greece, and then goes to other lands in search of being a better person, what he does today is to see his family and friends doing well, taking away anyone who is a threat to them from the way this is something every true fan should know
