The river, to be clear, but yes, agreed. It's like he was trying to trick a 6 into folding, but why the hell would there be any X/6s left after that call on the flop? The only 6 that was still in after both that pre- and post-flop action was pocket 6s and they ALSO made quads.
@@codetaku Sorry brother you dont know the game. Hes has maybe 10 combos of suited 9s and 12 of 55-TT and then some AK/AQ combos hes gonna call down. This is a good shove.
I had the bad side of a cooler like this years ago. 55 vs. KK, flop was KK5. When we finally got to showdown, I was never so happy to be playing Limit.
Happened to me a couple months ago at an uncapped game cept I coolered somebody. I had KK opp had K7 suited. The flop came 7K7. We got it all in on the turn and I stacked him
Bruh. He only needed a 6 or 9 to beat you. As unlucky as having quads flopped against you is, the 6 was an extremely lucky warning shot you chose to ignore.
I love at the end of the hand the one of the players goes off on Francisco after he shows quads , that he didnt have to play his unbeatable monster so slow. Poker etiquette .
Francisco definitely knows that he always tries to look distraught/weak when he flops the joint right? And that it's definitely tricking everyone right?
Yup, the river was a save card but he took the bait anyways. Any 9 or any 6 was beating him so just check it back instead of getting greedy. What were you folding out that you don't already beat? You only get called by a better boat or four of a kind.
Horribly played on the river… the Pro has to lead there or get check back after the 6 kills action and the shove is worse now that any 9 beats u after 2 check calls.
I've had crabs loads of times, when you do you hope you get more of them so you got more crabs, I told my doctor that I got crabs and he said that he loved them too.
You have to watch your opponent. His breathing is so excited, if Nick would have just looked up (he didn't) he would have seen something that could have alerted him to trouble.
Yep. When Nick L reached for that first bet on the flop, Francisco's breathing picked up substantially, and when Nick L finally pushed his bet in Francisco took a deep breath and scratched his nose. The drama! Prior to the flop, Francisco's breathing was relaxed and even. All the heavy breathing, the deep breath and the conflicted acting, should have told Nick L that Francisco hit the board somehow and that his 3s were worthless, ESPECIALLY after the 6s paired on the board. It may not have screamed quads, but it sure spoke to folding.
Your 100% right ..Reading your opponent is what makes pro's , Pro's and amateur's ..losers...Nick L. never looked at him ..Too busy putting that big show of his one hand shuffle of chips .which annoys the heck out of me .any time anyone does that I hope they lose
On this flop, pocket 3s is probably ahead like 1999 times out of 2000. (EDIT: I have no idea what the actual odds are, esp. if you're controlling for position, raise size, etc.)
@@GameOfJoffrey777 thanks, but it has to be more often than that - 19/20 times? No way. Your odds of getting *any* pocket pair preflop are only 1/16, which means having specifically pocket 9s is 1/14th of *that*, so 1/224. Now what I was alluding to in my original comment is, what are the odds that your opponent has pocket nines on that flop? It depends on how you calculate it - are you including the removal effect of the 9s on board? Are you taking into account the range of hands that would play here, or all hand combinations? It's not an easy question to answer, but it is definitely a lot more than 19/20!
I was expecting something like royal flush vs quads with that title. Only someone who has played a few hands of poker, has never seen something like this.
Checking the river 6 was a mistake and shoving on that river was a mistake. Guy with the quads check gave every chance to the other to save his stack. A single 9 now beat him let alone two.
FH losing to quads is not super special. Any paired board has this potential baked into it. Both were aware of it (presumably). What was fun with this hand were also the two flushes in play after the turn. And then the river potentially counterfeiting someone. A super meaty hand with a lot moving parts throughout. About as fun as it gets when you have the nuts. Except the demand for an obligatory check on the (flush busting, counterfeiting) river...which was the proper play. But of course that induces a shit ton of stress. You're nutted and yet the game insists you sweat a failure to extract max value. It's never (rarely) just a walk in the park.
Might be that getting chips from the cage takes awhile. Guys do thier whole buyin from the gate, then stick 20 k in thier pocket and pull out 10 at a time. As long as its declared its perfectly aacceptable.
Why so many people 33 should be checking back on river,Francisco doesn’t have too many 9x that flats 2 times, and also not likely having a 6 that calls the flop😂, even he has something like 67hh, he might get in on the turn too.
Commentary saying bet river, but honestly, you can't think he flopped a boat--ever. Check was right, make jacks, queens, kings, aces, even ace king, bet into you.
The poker gods sent Nick L a lifeline from getting stacked by sending 6 on the river and he said f--- off. The least francisco could have there after the call on turn was 9x. The board pairing again would mean francisco rivered a boat. Nick L got greedy. He wanted to double up. lol
I could write a book on all the bad beats I have taken . That's why I quit poker I am too unlucky. I love the game but when my straight flush gets beat by a better SF you know its time to quit. I manage to get it all in ahead but my opponent ALWAYS sucks out on me. There is no poker book in the world that can help that!
If only the sound was still out on this announcer. I couldn't tell if he was saying Pro's or Bro's a thousand times... Sounds like he was drunk or high while doing his job. Then again, it's California, what can you expect?
Auto card shufflers set up decks this way all the time. And since dealers are trained to try and cut the deck down the middle these hands are complete BS and rigged.
Am I the only one who wishes the commentators would stick to the commentary on the hands, and then stfu when it's not needed to talk? I'd much rather hear the table talk. And really don't need jokes from the commentator, especially when it's not even funny
Anything JJ+ would have 4bet/shoved. While you are targeting AA/KK would anyone really play check call check call on that board ? And if he is floating with AK/AQ would you call that River shove ? I think he can only get value from JJ/TT or a hero call.
The commentator is a idiot saying this a cooler of the highest order, it would be if the pocket 3's were to win, but they can't and was behind pre-flop.
Y’all are real good Monday morning quarterbacks criticizing the River shove. Francisco raised preflop and then has merely called the action after that. From the 33 players standpoint Francisco almost never has pocket nines a nine or a six. He almost always has either Ax or a medium-high pocket pair. Heck, he could even be floating with air with the intention to make a move on a later street if opponent shows weakness. Overall River shove with pocket threes is absolutely correct per GTO. Note also that if Francisco had a nine he should have raised the flop or turn. A six is quite unlikely but possible. Bet for value with threes full is obviously correct. The big mistake is by Francisco not check raising turn or leading the River.
''He could check back, and he goes all in'', so funny ! hahahahaa
The 6 actually should have saved the rest of his stack. That was a punt.
