We purchased 5 of these hoses for watering lawn on our large yard. They were great for the first season then began kinking. They are drained and stored in our shed during our mild winters. This is our 4th season of using them and they now kink so badly they are worthless.

I purchased two about two years ago. Earlier this spring I had to replace one because it leaked around the end. It was replaced under warranty. The replacement also leaks around the end but I have not contacted them about it yet. The second original hose began to leak in the middle this morning. I am going to contact the company about it today. I like these but don't seem to like having to replace them so often. They are better than any vinyl hose I've ever had, however.

Lindsey Boozer , I agree, nothing worse than kinks or something you can't roll up. Did you buy due to this review or have you had yours awhile?

My 50' Zero G hose kinks constantly in multiple places. I constantly have to walk back to it to unkink it to continue watering.

Costco Carries this Item 100ft at good price. Thought I would try this, I like the concept Light non Kink. It worked well Thought it was a keeper. However after the 1st week it started to leak where it attaches to the sprayer. It has a Thick Rubber Protective Shield at both ends where it attaches and that is where the leak developed. Very Disappointed Took it Back. Thought I would try a 2nd one in case it was a fluke situation. However sorry to say same thing happened in same time frame. To Bad I really like the the concept. However I did take it back as well. Sadly I would NOT Recommend
Guess I will wait till next year see what the new Model brings see if can find one that doesn't leak.

Thanks for the honest comment. Eventual leaking is one thing but two in row after a month is another. Mine have not started leaking yet. I wonder if they can make bad batches, that would be horrible. Anyway sorry to hear that.
If its a house hose I have learned one thing. Get a simple reel that screws to the wall. Doesn't matter what the item is from string to extension cords if you try to gather it up in loops, its' going to kink and twist. An actual reel winds it up without twist. Good luck on your hose hunt.

I am looking to buy one , Have you tried the 100 ft hose? water pressure stay consistent??
One thing that I am hearing that I like is the weight. I drag hoses around alot in the summer to irrigate and doing my current all rubber ones is a shoulder workout. Pulling them out than curling them back in. Especially in the humid heat. The all rubber ones I have are very heavy, especially 75 ft

Do they make a 100 footer? As for maintaining pressure I don't think there's much drop in 75ft.. I wall say I think the blue one usually used for RVs is 1/2 dia vs 5/8 on the black. You will enjoy how easy it is to work with when limp. Just let the small amount of pressure out before trying to store it like in a bucket. If you use a reel it might work better to keep the pressure until you're done reeling, then remove pressure. This way if you chose to use it without unreeling it it has some room to expand slightly. Thanks for watching

Why in the bloody hell is the camera in the vertical position?

LOL, sorry about that. I guess because the lens is at the top of the phone and I'm usually trying to clap trap some kind of crap together to hold the phone so it doesn't fall over that would normally block the lens.

All Zero-g hoses are aluminum fittings. Bad! Sure, it'll be fine for most people, but aluminum fittings significantly increases the chances of breaking or bonding to house fitting. If you rare remove the hose, then it's okay. Aluminum fittings = cheap! There're plenty of retractable hoses that use high quality brass fittings.

Aluminum does not always equal cheap, depends on the environment. Airplanes aren't cheap and in a saltwater environment will far outlast steel. Yes brass is most common and better than aluminum. Cost wise aluminum metal just costs less than brass metal. Galling or bonding as you call it WILL happen any time two metals of the same type rub against each other with pressure. Threads. Applying any grease to the threads will stop that. The washer is what stops any leaking. JMHO

Paul L. Best way is to get quick disconnects so you can bring the hose inside or put it somewhere that the sun and weather won’t get to it, it makes life easier. I don’t have this one, but I do have expandable hoses with quick disconnects, I store them in a 5 gallon bucket in my shed.
