This video contains a tutorial on how to make a sling bag out of cloth. The size of this sling bag is 28cm long, 19cm high and 6cm wide. The outer fabric used is linen and the inner section uses cotton.
This sling bag is equipped with a pocket on the front and a zipper pocket on the back and an inner pocket.
How to make a shoulder bag / sling bag the materials needed are:
Body / Body:
- Linen & interfacing/upholstery 30cm x 21cm (2 Pcs)
- Cotton 30cm x 21cm (2 Pcs)
- Zipper / Zipper 33cm (1 Pcs)
- Stopper for zipper (1 Pcs)
Gusset / side:
- Linen & Interfacing/upholstery 65cm x 8cm (1 Pcs)
- Cotton 65cm x 8cm (1 Pcs)

*Front Pocket
- Linen & interfacing / upholstery 30cm x 15cm (1 Pcs)
- Cotton 30cm x 15cm (1 Pcs)
* Zipper Pocket

Thanks for the video. Looking at materials, and what is a “ Stopper for zipper”? Zippers have stopper so I’m not clear on the requirement.
thanks for watching this video. I usually use a stopper for a ready-made zipper, just attach it using a bolt. but if you don't have one you can make it using fabric

Jenis kain yg cocok untuk bagian luar : kanvas, linen jepang (linen khusus tas), suede, kulit sintetis dll
Kak kertas yg biasa di gunakan buat bikin tas itu yg putih namanya apa ya..??
Itu bukan kertas ka, itu kain keras atau staplek. Untuk tas nama stapleknya M33. Semoga bisa membantu menjawab.
I’ve watched the video several times, and I’m at the point where I’ve placed the outside of the bag inside and joining them together. I’m watching the video and I don’t see how you are able to sew completely around the bad with the zipper there in the way. I can see stopping where at the 2cm mark where you placed the zipper, and then sewing the gussets, and then continue sewing. But, not continuing around the complete bag without sewing over the zipper. Hopefully, you understand what I’m saying. So, what step am I missing?
sorry if the tutorial is not clear. at 12:27 minutes when joining the outer and inner bags, the end of the zipper not sewn. the end of the zipper is tucked in and if the zipper gets in the way of sewing, it can be held in place with a pin. can you tell me at what minute it is not clear? I will answer it with pleasure
Thanks!!!I figured it out. My problem was sewing the zipper to far from the teeth and not leaving enough room to pin the zipper down for a seem. Initially, I didn’t fold one end of the zipper as shown in the video. Then I realize why you did it. There has to be an easier way to attach the zipper. This part, in my opinion, made the task a little more difficult than it should be. Even with that, the video was great, the bag looked great, and your patience and quick reply to questions were fantastic.
I'm glade you finished it. Yes, that's right, there are many ways to install zippers more easily according to each habit's.
