JEEP ALL THE WAY..! Nothing beats the solid front axle..! Great video
Thanks mike!!!
My problem with the bronco is the soft top
I’m not the biggest fan of it!
Love your videos. Keep it up 👍
Thanks Chuck!
The Bronco looks great but there's no beating the Rubicon XR
Good point!
Until the Bronco Raptor is available;)
@@JeepCherokeeful still don't think they are as capable as a Rubicon XR but they are dead sexy
On road 99%...Bronco 2.7 twin tubo wins..imo
Cool comparison- thanks guys.
Thanks Dawn!
Nice comparison video, what I would expect from your channel. 👍
Thanks Dennis!
Nice unbiased review. We are very happy with the ride of our Wrangler Sport and look forward to comparing it with our Bronco when Ford decides to ship it. No Sas pkg on the Bronco, but will be upgrading to 35 in tires. Well done. Thanks.
Thanks for the compliment, I’m very happy with my XR
Great content, I actually had a Bronco on order when they were first announced and backed off of it when they were having such a challenge with their system to be able to deliver. Now having a Jeep on order, I am hoping it is a better experience. I would be happy with either of them though.
Great comment, I would agree the bronco launch definitely had some difficulties!
Hey Matt, would love to see winch options and an install on the Bronco. Keep up the great videos.
Thats a great idea!
I bought my '22 Wrangler in June. I love it to death.
But I really like that you can store the bronco doors in the rear and the design of the four piece hardtop.
Good points there!
Totally awesome job, to keep things equal we would need a ford bronco badlands, because that one comes with a front stabilizer bar disconnect the same as your Jeep Rubicon. I do love them both and if I can toot my own horn have spent the last 11 months comparing them both. I started this venture looking for a Jeep but the wife works for ford, so I know where this is going to end. I do love your channel. Rock on!!
Thanks a ton! They’re both great in there own ways!
Thanks to good video
Thanks for watching!
I wish Chevy redesigned the Blazer to compete with the Wrangler and Bronco
That would be awesome!
@@DIRTROADCRED they can even do what ford does with the bronco and have like a suv version and a 4x4 off road version, id stick with my wrangler but in the end we would all win
Rubi for life 🔥 would love to see you add the tap shift paddles into your steering wheel like the 392 has! Completely unnecessary but makes for a fun drive experience! Thanks for always delivering for us Jeep owners!
Thats a great idea for a future video!
Daily with light off road...Bronco. Jeep for sure dominates crawling. I'd take XR hands down.
I love my XR!
Great comparison. I'd like to see, added to that Black Diamond: fuel cans, traction tracks, rooftop tent, winch, lights in bumper tips, ditch & roof lights, maybe a beefier rear bumper w/additional lighting, graphics or a wrap. Thanks again for making this video!
Great idea! I’ll have to convince my cousin to start ordering some parts!
@@DIRTROADCRED LOLOLOL I ordered something almost every month for 15 months writing on my 2dr Badlands. Still looking at winches, rooftop tents, trackboards, comms...
I like the 2 door bronco, but my heart belongs to the Wrangler
The 2 door is sweet, but yeah jeep is where its at!
Compare the hard and soft tops. I would find that interesting.
Great idea!
I’m driving a Rubicon JLU now and love it. I did own an ‘88 Bronco ll. That was a brut of a vehicle. Manual locking hubs and 5 speed. Most of you younger guys don’t know this but the reason the Bronco name was dropped was because the Bronco ll had a known rollover problem due to a rather narrow track.
The bronco 2 was very top heavy and narrow, good vehicles off road though!
I’ve only seen the Bilsteins on the 392 XR so far, I did a self audit and the non XR has the Foxs and the XR non 392 have the tennecos
Thanks Ryan!
I love my Rubicon, Bronco has electronic terrain select not when but it will have issues leaving you stuck , Jeeps mechanical which I prefer and plus no hybrid yet !!!
Great comment!
Have both, bronco all day.
Interesting…..
I feel that with jeep themselves should offer the recon package on all there vehicles, and ford should offer the susqueha on there's to but that's just me. And the tires on the bronco here in washington are great with the rain and water but not in mud and snow/ice
Great point!
What I'd wish Jeep would do is make a non-Xtreme Recon package, or any package really, to bring some of the Rubicon goodness to lower trim levels.
Not sure if the Willys trim already do that, but it would be nice if a rear locker + the rock trac could be added to say, a Sport, or a Sahara.
I wish you could add lockers to other trims as well!
I considered ordering a bronco, but went with the XR wrangler
Good choice!
Great comparison. Would love to see the cargo size compared seats upright and folded.
That’s a great idea!
@@DIRTROADCRED No interior comparison!? and TOPS???? : ) : )
I’d be curious to see how the Electronics stack up. How well can the systems handle add-ons like winch, more lights, Auto Rock Sliders, etc. My biggest concern with my 2020 Gladiator is the Computer Control model failing as FCA switched that component. The Magnuson Supercharger can’t work with the new components used by FCA after August 2021. 🤓
Interesting!
Can you compare the rear seats on both? The rear seat of the wrangler is extremely uncomfortable, and I'm wondering if the Bronco has better seats. For example, literally there is no thigh support on wrangler. Thanks!
Does xtreme recon come with soft top? Sasquatch does
Drove both - Jeep Won for me. I Just replaced my JKU for a JLU 4XE. I don't trust IFS and those tiny links. I'm good with the Wrangler's on road manner. after 14 years of JK's the handling is just fine.
Great point!
Totally agree. 15 years of driving older Jeeps and my JL feels like a cloud LOL.
Love the channel great videos!!! Just picked up our ‘23 JL Rubicon Extreme Recon. I have heard you mention suspensions and lifts. What are you considering for yours? We’re leaning towards 3.5” Teraflex ST3 with Falcon shocks? Any input will be appreciated.
Thats a great comment John, I will actually be lifting mine soon with a kit that I think is the best in the market for my style of wheeling and driving!
Flex test for both
Good idea!
For my money I like the Wrangler better but I think Ford did a good job and would buy one but it would be a two door as I think that is the more classic looking Bronco.
In white I could picture OJ slow rolling it up the highway
LOL a 2 door white bronco!
One thing I like more on the Bronco rather than the Jeep. Is the hardtop. I know a couple guys who got Broncos and the 4 door hardtop is so much more convenient in the way it comes apart. Ford says to use 2 people to take it off but it's so easy to do it with 1 person. The 2 door is the same way as the 2 door. Being 2 front panels and 1 big rear shell. But the bronco is only 70 pounds compared to the Jeep that's 190 pounds
Great call!
Only thing is, you cannot get a recon package on a 2 door Jeep, whereas the bronco has the Sasquatch available across their entire product line.
You’re not wrong
We would love to chat sometime about Jeep vs Bronco
I’m game!
Can you tell me which stands talked between XR and SAS?
If you mean taller, the bronco is a little bit higher due to the soft top!
I’m cross shopping between a bronco base Sasquatch and a jeep Willy’s xtreme recon package as a daily. Which would you say would be better as a daily ?
As a daily as much as it pains to say, the bronco would be smoother driving
What about if/how the engine performance changed with the Recon package on the JL rather than the standard Rubicon trim, do you have the V6? TIA
That’s a good point, good idea for another video!
I was in this decision the end of last year. I reserved a Bronco in August 2020 and converted to an order in March 2021, ordered a 4 door Wildtrak. I have an older TJ, and figured something different would be fun, plus I thought that I was getting more the money with a $60k order. I liked the modular hardtop, the frameless doors and the mounts on the windshield for lights. It seemed that Ford thought of everything. However, after waiting 5 months for my order and not hearing a lot of good things from Ford production and their hardtop manufacturer, in November 2021 I put in an order for a Jeep Unlimited Rubicon XR, thinking that Jeep had their stuff together and I would get it in a month or two. That was another mistake. My order sat in D (unscheduled status) for 5 months. I ended up cancelling that order and found a 2022 Rubicon XR about 2 hours away. My Wildtrak order eventually came in the end of June 2022, and the dealer let me take it for a spin since I waited so long. Honestly, I wasn't impressed. The build quality felt cheap compared to my XR. Part of me wanted to buy it, drive it and flip it since they were selling for $20k over sticker. But in the end, I left in the better vehicle, my 2022 Rubicon XR. I think when the hype and limited availability of the Bronco wears off, Jeep will be the better vehicle. And if Stellantis is smart, the next version of the Wrangler will be their best since they now have some competition.
Glad you’re in a jeep, that must have been a very stressful process!
@@DIRTROADCRED it's sure was aggravating. Waiting 2 years to get a new vehicle as my lease was expiring.
Should compare Rubicon to Badlands not Big Bend.
This bronco was a black diamond.
Funny I’m actually trading in my Jeep for a bronco this week
Interesting!
Did they get rid of the tan soft tops?
They did on the JL!
is that a lantern fly at 6:46?
More than likely, they are bad this year!
Let’s go to rausch! I still don’t love the looks of the bronco tho.
I'm down to go to Rausch!
What about wheel travel and articulation? Jeep looks to have more travel compared to the Bronco. Did your cousin have any rubbing?
No rubbing, the only spot that hangs is the lower rear control arm mount!
i believe the sasquatch is the better option, only because you can get the sasquatch at a BASE model, the jeep only the willys and above.
Definitely a cost savings!
@@DIRTROADCRED also you can sasquatch a two door. I have not seen an extreme recon 2 door yet. As a JL owner I'm very happy with my jeep :)
Between the two the Jeep just looks better
😎😎
what the gas mileage on both vehicle (the true mileage) ?
From what my cousin is saying on his with the 2.7 he is seeing over 20 mpg daily driving, and he has almost 10,000 miles on his
@@DIRTROADCRED what the cash mileage on your Jeep ?
I have a landyacht, so... neither :(
Lol they’re great too!
You are right ... competition is good, but when it comes to the wrangler or bronco, regardless of the trims, there is no competition. Look how sloppy and loose the broncos soft top is, the front end looks like they ran out of ideas, to me the bronco has no character on the outside, inside, sure it looks good, but it's like Ford was catering more towards the female market instead of being a true off-road vehicle. The Jeep is more refined, well thought out, and tried and true, it sticks to the heritage of true off roading. Good video though. But EVERYONE knows who the King of the Hills are.
Love the comment, thanks for watching!
Bronco in my opinion is too big. Wrangler is a perfect size for road and off roading.
Good call!
I want to see a live crash test lol jk
Oh boy, maybe if we can buy two more!
not gonna buy bronco.. until OJ Simpson edition comes out....
LOL
