They set ZX advent up for a sequel so it'll prolly be that one that gets a new addition or 2 zx and zx advent are really great games but sold kinda meh so in the end for ZX it really depends on how well this legacy sells prolly and if the mm ZX community picks up and booms.
X7 sucked graphicly. X4 and X5 were the best looking graphicly, X1-X3 had the best gameplay, X1 had the best level design, and X8 had the best gameplay. (But terrible level design.) I would love to see X9 with the graphics of X4-X6 with the gameplay style of X8. That would be awesome! BTW Axel sucked in X7, as he was just a worse copy of X, but in X8 he's actually super fun due to his gliding and rapid fire shots. He's my favorite character in that game to play as.

The Zero and ZX games weren't as big as the mainline games and were on the GBA. so there is an audience that hasn't played these games. Now if these collection games are successful it means people will most likely want a new game in the series.

The preorder of this game includes dlc for these arranged tracks. Not sure if you can put them in the gameplay itself but probably for the music player.
How would a Star Force collection work? That's a DS series, so it uses two screens, one of which is a touch screen which is heavily used in the first game! The PC can use mouse controls, mobile and the Switch actually do have touch screens, but the Xbox and Playstation are impossible to port Star Force to.

Zero is my favorite megaman character. Also I really wish he was a playable character in smash ultimate instead of an assist trophy but at this point it's whatever I guess.
He has the best story arc, and is the singular thing binding all parts together... He was built by Wily, (Megaman Classic Era), fought alongside X, (Maverick Hunter Era), Returned from sleeping twice during two different crises to be a hero when there was none, (Elf Wars and Neo Arcadian Era), and came back as a biometal to save the world twice more, (Biometal Era). He is the glue that keeps the series linked together, and he deserves the recognition for it. Plus, his moveset would be amazing for smash.... I really hope he gets in, especially in his Zero series form.
Well, it just so happens that I am currently thinking of a moveset for Zero right now. His Neutral B would be Hadangeki, Side B Rekkuah, Up B Ryuenjin, Down B Hyouretsuzan (works like Yoshi's Down B)
Zero can't look older because Repliods don't age. That guy at the resistance base in Z2 and Z3 is an expection as he intentionally altered his body to make him look older in order to please his human wife. The reason Zero looks different is because the Zero series design plus the body that became Omega were both new bodies for Zero that were created post-X8. The Zero we play as in the Zero series is a replica just like copy X, and the body from the elf wars is Omega. Zero probably dicided to transfer his memories to a new body and wipe his old one to finally rid the world of the source of the Maverick Virus. Dr. Wile then stole Zero's old body and used it to create Omega and start the elf wars.
It's liable that the _MMZ_ form is just his original body upgraded with sleeker armour, and the duplicate body his consciousness was transferred to being designed with the same sort of armour. The part I find most interesting, personally, is that the sleek body explicitly _doesn't_ have a Buster in and of itself, and how it's actually a minor gameplay point in _MMZ1_. (Specifically, Zero can't charge his gun during the intro, since it's just a generic gun. He doesn't gain the ability to charge it until the boss fight. Or rather, not until X returns the Z Saber during the boss fight, which he'd upgraded by adding an X Buster to it. Every weapon in the _MMZ_ series actually relies on the Z Saber to charge, except for the Zero Knuckle. The gun uses the Z Saber as a cartridge, the rods use Z Sabers as heads, and the boomerang is basically just a fidget spinner for the Z Saber.)

@@midouban628 Wrong. Omega was in space by the time of MMZ1, so there's no doubt this was Zero and not him. As for mindless clones, no more Zero clones were made after Sigma's death before the Elf Wars. So this was unmistakably Zero.

But then the question becomes, why does X refer to Zero in such an impersonal manner? Like I said before, Omega was in space, and Zero clones stopped being created after Sigma's death. So if it _is_ him, why does he act like he hasn't met Zero before? Even as a Cyber-Elf in MMZ1, X still referred to Zero as a friend and treated him as such. So why the sudden attitude change?
These games are my childhood I so love them and I cannot wait to get them and play them once again. I'll admit that ending really is teasing. Half of me wants to let the guy rest but I would so love to see more of Zero ( and the Guardians). Though I'm more expecting that line to mean this collection's release then a zero 5 or ZX3, and I would personally love a ZX3 or Devil May Cry styled remake of Megaman zero
The line at the end is obviously referring to Zero waking up at the beginning of Zero 1, the letter being sent to ciel takes place before the events of the first game. That said, I have been wanting a ZX3 for ages. It would be amazing if they somehow managed to bring back Zero himself to be part of the story.

But there is nothing proving that X surpassed Zero When they fight in Megaman X5, Zero was the one to get up and block Sigma's attack while X fainted. In his own series, Zero becomes strong enough to beat Omega's three forms by himself while in the past it took both X and himself just to beat Omega's first form. True, Zero needed some help but if Omega Zero didn't have the Dark Elf he would have died before Harpuia could reach the battlefield

This trend continues into X8, when the X-Buster (without armor upgrades) becomes even stronger. Also, X has better durability and mobility. In strict gameplay stats, X is more powerful than Zero. As for the Zero series, it has always taken both X and Zero to defeat Omega. Let's not forget that in the climax of Zero 3, X was actively using his power to dampen both the power of Omega and the Dark Elf, thus giving Zero and the Guardians a chance to defeat the so called "god of destruction". He could render other reploids unconscious with a thought, something Zero could never do. Also, recall that it was X who sealed the Dark Elf inside his own body for decades, not Zero. Zero has some powerful feats, but he has nothing to equal containing a reality-warping, planetary threat for many years. A case can be made from these feats and the gameplay that X has surpassed Zero in power, though no definitive story statement has been made.
That remixed boss theme from Zero 1 sounded amazing! I cant wait to hear how they remixed Departure! (I know its on UA-cam already, but I want my experience with this collection (Mainly Zero 2) to be mostly pure, so I'm glad it wasn't in this trailer lol)

It's obviously referring to the opening scene in Zero 1. This particular letter in this trailer seems to be implied to have been why Ciel even tried to re-awaken him and recruit him in the first place, though it's not clear exactly who is sending the letter.
Can't wait to replay these games. Starter with advent and worked back from there. I could never quite get into the other megaman games quite like these ones either.
ZX is probably the easiest Mega Man platformer series. Zero is harder than that, but the Z Saber helps. Classic and X have the case where you start off without anything but a Mega Buster and have to guess which boss will be easiest to defeat, and then you need to figure out which boss is weak to which weapon - not easy without a walkthrough! Zero and ZX are more user friendly in that way.
If there is, I hope it'd be an elf wars game. Zero's story ended perfectly in Zero 4, and I've always respected Capcom for letting the Zero series end there and stay consistently good throughout, instead of being of very... Variable in quality like the later X and Classic games.

It would be awesome if someone found model Z in the wreckage of Ouroboros and built a new body for him... That would be an awesome way to revive Zero, and it would be consistent with how he had returned in past... Plus, him leading 2 (probably would only have Vent and Ashe OR Aile and Grey, not all four...) In a quest... That would be an awesome conclusion to the ZX series.... But a lot of other ideas sound cool too, so I really just want them to make a third game...

Don't get your hopes up. They've killed a lot of storylines already, and to have hope in a dead storyline like this would only be worse. They keep making Classic Mega Man games because it's dirt cheap to make. To have a ZX game would require that they actually think of a good story that links to 2 other stories. Classic MM is just one shots one after another. There's no story linkage other than "I'm Dr. Albert EVIL SCIENTIST FIGHT ME MEGA MAN HERE'S 8 ROBOT MASTERS" with Thomas saying "Mega Man you gotta bust his balls in and here, take this new gimmick." Maybe Roll cries or something for a plot twist. Oh and Proto Man is off being useless somewhere as usual. ZX had a story that was original, that started from a history of the past heroes' "souls". It crafted a new gameplay experience and wove an (subjectly) interesting story as well as characters with some iota of a personality other than "beep boop I am programmed to kill Mega Man". ZX Advent then takes the story of ZX and ages it about 10+ years is my guess. They continue the story of Biometals and then expand on it rather than just tossing it and creating a new set of Biometals with no regard to the first. It actually connects the story. To make a 3rd game, they have to think of a plot for Thomas and how Vent/Aile and Grey/Ashe will play a part. Will you get to choose to play as any of them, or will you have to play a 3rd? They then need to think about how they'll create a "copy" system. ZX had individual physical things. ZXA had Axl's literal cloning ability. If they make a new character, how will they gain new powers? If they let you play as any of the others, they need to allow you to take their powers somehow using old mechanics and implement both systems. I suppose using this logic, if they make a ZX 3, then having the ability to choose one of the previous people to play as would be neat, giving them a full story. Then the other has it's own full story. After doing both, they lead to a "true story" where you can swap between the two people at any time and use their powers. After being this "true" story, you can choose to play anyone in anyone's story in a new mode with a little story adjustment. This allows anyone to obtain everyone's powers. Hell, it can act like the X series where X and Zero get different abilities from the same person. You see? This is what happens when people are hopeful. People think about cool stuff Crapcom can do, but then you realize they'll 1) Never make such a thing and 2) If they DO make a game they'll be a letdown either because of your expectations, your own ideas for a game, or because the game is rushed with a low budget and it's just a shitshow.
I just hope for a brand new game in a new timeline after thomas basically "resetted" the world and we play the new biomatch for model z. We explore what happened in the past (basically wut happened in zero saga and zx) and face a new threat (the government in the new resetted world n its "task force") idk let's call it mega man 0.

I don't know the exact timeline of events. Basically, giving minimum spoilers, the in-story reason is that the Zero series design is supposed to be the same Zero from the Mega Man X seies, just in a different body. Actual reason is that it's an art style change.

A Zero costume for the Mii Swordfighter is in Smash 4 (For 3DS/Wii U), and Ultimate. For all 3 games, it's paid dlc.

@@midouban628 Wrong. Omega was in space by the time of MMZ1, so there's no doubt this was Zero and not him.
As for mindless clones, no more Zero clones were made after Sigma's death before the Elf Wars.
So this was unmistakably Zero.

But then the question becomes, why does X refer to Zero in such an impersonal manner? Like I said before, Omega was in space, and Zero clones stopped being created after Sigma's death. So if it _is_ him, why does he act like he hasn't met Zero before? Even as a Cyber-Elf in MMZ1, X still referred to Zero as a friend and treated him as such. So why the sudden attitude change?

I'll admit that ending really is teasing. Half of me wants to let the guy rest but I would so love to see more of Zero ( and the Guardians).
Though I'm more expecting that line to mean this collection's release then a zero 5 or ZX3, and I would personally love a ZX3 or Devil May Cry styled remake of Megaman zero
The line at the end is obviously referring to Zero waking up at the beginning of Zero 1, the letter being sent to ciel takes place before the events of the first game. That said, I have been wanting a ZX3 for ages. It would be amazing if they somehow managed to bring back Zero himself to be part of the story.

The Guardians are dead. They passed away in the Omega Explosion at the end of Zero 3. That's why they don't show up in Zero 4.

Zero only said that X was a better Maverick Hunter, and this happens in X6 after knowing about all the problem his own existance caused. But there is nothing proving that X surpassed Zero
When they fight in Megaman X5, Zero was the one to get up and block Sigma's attack while X fainted. In his own series, Zero becomes strong enough to beat Omega's three forms by himself while in the past it took both X and himself just to beat Omega's first form. True, Zero needed some help but if Omega Zero didn't have the Dark Elf he would have died before Harpuia could reach the battlefield

In gameplay, X has been able to dish out far more damage than Zero ever since X4 with the Force Armor. By X7, X's full charge shot (without armor) does way more damage than Zero's saber combos. This trend continues into X8, when the X-Buster (without armor upgrades) becomes even stronger. Also, X has better durability and mobility. In strict gameplay stats, X is more powerful than Zero.
As for the Zero series, it has always taken both X and Zero to defeat Omega. Let's not forget that in the climax of Zero 3, X was actively using his power to dampen both the power of Omega and the Dark Elf, thus giving Zero and the Guardians a chance to defeat the so called "god of destruction". He could render other reploids unconscious with a thought, something Zero could never do.
Also, recall that it was X who sealed the Dark Elf inside his own body for decades, not Zero. Zero has some powerful feats, but he has nothing to equal containing a reality-warping, planetary threat for many years. A case can be made from these feats and the gameplay that X has surpassed Zero in power, though no definitive story statement has been made.

It's obviously referring to the opening scene in Zero 1. This particular letter in this trailer seems to be implied to have been why Ciel even tried to re-awaken him and recruit him in the first place, though it's not clear exactly who is sending the letter.

Can't wait to replay these games. Starter with advent and worked back from there. I could never quite get into the other megaman games quite like these ones either.
ZX is probably the easiest Mega Man platformer series. Zero is harder than that, but the Z Saber helps. Classic and X have the case where you start off without anything but a Mega Buster and have to guess which boss will be easiest to defeat, and then you need to figure out which boss is weak to which weapon - not easy without a walkthrough! Zero and ZX are more user friendly in that way.

If there is, I hope it'd be an elf wars game. Zero's story ended perfectly in Zero 4, and I've always respected Capcom for letting the Zero series end there and stay consistently good throughout, instead of being of very... Variable in quality like the later X and Classic games.

You do know that if you're askin for BoF collection means that you're askin for BoF5, aka one of the worst game in the series? ...and BoF6 that never release outside of japan cuz its a mobile exclusive. Plus, BoF1 was already on SNES Online and they announced BoF2 is gonna be in it.

I hope they're teasing a new Mega Man ZX game where Zero actually does return, not just as a Biometal. And one where Vent, Aile, Ashe, and Grey all get together, but don't know Master Thomas is evil until the endgame.
It would be awesome if someone found model Z in the wreckage of Ouroboros and built a new body for him... That would be an awesome way to revive Zero, and it would be consistent with how he had returned in past... Plus, him leading 2 (probably would only have Vent and Ashe OR Aile and Grey, not all four...) In a quest... That would be an awesome conclusion to the ZX series.... But a lot of other ideas sound cool too, so I really just want them to make a third game...
I mean... That's ALREADY the story as it is with Thomas. Thomas is the big bad behind the scenes at the moment. Nobody has a clue except Mikhail and Thomas's underlings.

Don't get your hopes up. They've killed a lot of storylines already, and to have hope in a dead storyline like this would only be worse. They keep making Classic Mega Man games because it's dirt cheap to make. To have a ZX game would require that they actually think of a good story that links to 2 other stories.
Classic MM is just one shots one after another. There's no story linkage other than "I'm Dr. Albert EVIL SCIENTIST FIGHT ME MEGA MAN HERE'S 8 ROBOT MASTERS" with Thomas saying "Mega Man you gotta bust his balls in and here, take this new gimmick." Maybe Roll cries or something for a plot twist. Oh and Proto Man is off being useless somewhere as usual.
ZX had a story that was original, that started from a history of the past heroes' "souls". It crafted a new gameplay experience and wove an (subjectly) interesting story as well as characters with some iota of a personality other than "beep boop I am programmed to kill Mega Man". ZX Advent then takes the story of ZX and ages it about 10+ years is my guess. They continue the story of Biometals and then expand on it rather than just tossing it and creating a new set of Biometals with no regard to the first. It actually connects the story. To make a 3rd game, they have to think of a plot for Thomas and how Vent/Aile and Grey/Ashe will play a part. Will you get to choose to play as any of them, or will you have to play a 3rd? They then need to think about how they'll create a "copy" system. ZX had individual physical things. ZXA had Axl's literal cloning ability. If they make a new character, how will they gain new powers? If they let you play as any of the others, they need to allow you to take their powers somehow using old mechanics and implement both systems.
I suppose using this logic, if they make a ZX 3, then having the ability to choose one of the previous people to play as would be neat, giving them a full story. Then the other has it's own full story. After doing both, they lead to a "true story" where you can swap between the two people at any time and use their powers. After being this "true" story, you can choose to play anyone in anyone's story in a new mode with a little story adjustment. This allows anyone to obtain everyone's powers. Hell, it can act like the X series where X and Zero get different abilities from the same person.
You see? This is what happens when people are hopeful. People think about cool stuff Crapcom can do, but then you realize they'll 1) Never make such a thing and 2) If they DO make a game they'll be a letdown either because of your expectations, your own ideas for a game, or because the game is rushed with a low budget and it's just a shitshow.
I just hope for a brand new game in a new timeline after thomas basically "resetted" the world and we play the new biomatch for model z. We explore what happened in the past (basically wut happened in zero saga and zx) and face a new threat (the government in the new resetted world n its "task force") idk let's call it mega man 0.

I don't know the exact timeline of events. Basically, giving minimum spoilers, the in-story reason is that the Zero series design is supposed to be the same Zero from the Mega Man X seies, just in a different body. Actual reason is that it's an art style change.

Yo también, y en mi opinion personal, creo que si se llega a confirmar el "Mega Man X9", deberian utilizar los diseños de las versiones "Ver. Ke" que se revelaron hace varios, no se... es que simplemente esos diseños me encantaron y creo que encajarian de una manera perfecta en el Mega Man X9. Otra cosa que seria genial, seria de que CAPCOM anunciara que el día 17 de Diciembre de este año, un directo especial dedicado exclusivamente a la saga X y que al final de dicho directo se nos rebele el trailer oficial del Mega Man X9 y el arte conceptual oficial de uno de los Mavericks de ese juego, no se.... peesonalmente creo que seria genial, además esto también serviria para que los fans esten emocionados con que llegue el 2020 y en ese futuro año podamos disfrutar de la Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collectión y del posible Mega Man X9! :)
