Allison: As usual, I learn so much from your videos. You have the clearest, most concise guitar lessons I have seen on UA-cam. This is really helping me to become a much better player (and I can use all the help I can get). Excellent job. Please continue making more videos as time allows. Cheers.
I couldn't agree more...well said! I just found this channel 2 days ago and have already learned the intro to 2 classic rock songs. You rock, Allison!
That was a very nice lesson.
I've watched several guitar teachers teach Hey Joe- I think I like yours best for its simplicity. You provided the very basic structure with clarity.
thank you
Clear, perfect, thank you.
Allison: it's the best transcription of Hey Joe: I extended a dozen and yours seems to me the most faithful! A big thank you for your very educational work! Greetings from Paris.😍
Excellent teaching. Thanks a lot for sharing!
Thanks Allison - loving your posts
I dig pretty much all of your songs.
Ur a great teacher I learned two songs today ...n learned both in about five min. Thanks!!

GREAT!!!
That's cool! I will watch this until I get it. Thanks a lot!
Awesome, did not expect that :D
I studied it not long ago, love this tune
Nice I like the little riff you played. I’m going to add it to my version
Nice lesson thanks...helpful to see things broken down this way. Off topic I can never get used - comfortable with the thumb on the bass note style Hendrix used.
hey you're amazing!!
VALEU PELA DICA
I'm finally learning this! Thanks, great teaching skills! ( from a teacher)
Sweet!
Well done 👍
Love the way you give your lessons. Maybe silly but the red nailpaint makes it easy to follow :-)
Hey Allison, I know it's not the usual Manchester band you cover but could you do some stone roses lessons? Haven't found any great lessons of them. Great work as usual btw.
Wow...pretty cool that this was from Oct 5. That's my bday and my name is Joe LOL. Great video Allison!
I like the way she changes the photo to, fit the artist. a, womans touch. :)
Your adorable Allison ❤️
Canadian accent? Minnesota? Great channel, not sure why I haven’t stumbled across it before.
I finally got it down. There is one thing when you play the cords you call the A cord an E. So anyone who don't catch that play the A before you go to the E. I know it was just a slip she made. But I wanted you to know in case you didn't catch it.
I love you, you are awesome. Like 👍
Allison is either a genius or she's insane. Either way, she can play *the hell* outta of guitar!
Nice job! You said 'tabs are available' - where are they?
congratulations my darling thanks
Damn! My music teacher in school was never this pretty!!
can you teach purple haze by jimi hendrix thanks
Whats the settings on the amp at . pedals u use if any ??
Some more Hendrix would be nice when you have the time :) sure you are busy...
Heh! great vid. Though the black and white intro freaked me out. Your fingers were the same color as the neck and your fingernails black. With my poor eyesight and a quick glance it looked like the fret markers were jumping about LOL
nice...someone who can wind me down a little bit so i can pay attention
my back pages by fretkillr ?
Thought you were going to sing the verse at 00:12
For a minute, I thought we were gonna learn "Smelly Cat"!! :-)
What amp is that? It's adorable (or very far away).
Gear is listed in comments below video. Fender '68 Princeton Reverb Reissue
What makes an amp “adorable”? Just curious
having a little problem with this one,but there are just some songs i just cant play, due to a broken finger years ago.
Allison, Do you have a tab sheet for Hey Joe ?
How about Stevie Ray Vaughn, Mary Had a Little Lamb. Can you teach us that?
Jimi Hendrix style, according to Andres Segovia mode ;)
Very nice song you covered for tutorial but I want give you a good advice, please show chords diagram or tablature.
For me it is not always clear how you play that song
Keep on going
This isn’t how it’s played though. Jimi wasn’t playing open chords. Good lesson nevertheless.
ishibubu he would use both for different sounds and riffs.
It wasn't that complicated. Yes?
It's a cover of a cover.
At the risk of sounding entirely inappropriate, I find it kind of hot that an attractive woman like you is actually teaching that particular song on the electric guitar. There’s a lot going on there. Sorry, like I said I know it’s entirely inappropriate. Just couldn’t help myself.
tone sounds bad
