Hi Carrie! My beloved grandpa has been losing his sight gradually because of his age and macular degeneration. He is really trying to adapt and I want to help him learn new tools that will help him keep his independence. I am truly thankful for channels like yours! I am excited to start teaching him everything I’m learning from you ☺️
Hi there! I'm so sorry for the delay in responding. I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa, but I'm glad that you can find my videos helpful. If you ever have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out. On here, or for a faster reply, by email. 😀 All the very best, Carrie.
Hi Carrie, another great video. Thanks for this and all you do. Just wanted to pass on a tip about Android Zoom. As well as the triple tap, there is another way to enable it. You can swipe up with two fingers from the bottom of the screen. I've switched from the triple tap to this method. Using this method makes the phone much more responsive than the triple tap method. Try it, see what you think. For the Android operating system to be able to able to recognize a triple tap, it has to wait and count the number of taps and if it reaches three then it switches on Zoom. This means that every time you tap your phone, the phone waits to see if you are gonna single tap, double tap or triple tap. Even if you aren't gonna triple tap, the phones waits, to see if you are, every single time you tap. So you can stop the phone waiting by switching off the triple tap and use the other method, swiping up from the bottom with two fingers. I think my phone zips along even faster now, but maybe that is just wishful thinking, haha.
Hey Pete! Yes, there is that other way to do it. If you also have an older phone, they have the accessibility button. I should probably make a video about that. I'm still so comfortable with the triple tap even though it does have that lag. I usually use the accessibility button or accessibility gesture for color inversion. And then I have the pressing the volume up and down for talk back. That way, I have three accessibility shortcuts. I definitely need to make a video about this though! I know what you mean for the lag though. Whenever I type in my pin, if magnifier is set to triple tap, it responds very slowly. I wonder if I can find another option for an easier way to use color inversion and then put magnifier for the accessibility gesture. Maybe this could help talk back become faster too! Thanks again for sharing and I'll mention you as inspiration for that video! :-)
For me personally I like the iPhone zoom magnification sometimes I use the zoom controller but most of the time I just don’t use zoom controller and just use the three fingers double tap to enable magnification and zoom around the screen
I currently use both Samsung S10 and iPhone 12, and I totally agree with you, Android zoom is way more simple and functional. For some reason, when I do the 3 fingers gesture on my iPhone, it doesn't zoom directly, it opens a menu instead, so I have to select "Zoom In" again. But, yeah, I do feel more comfortable with Android magnifier. Thanks for sharing this content.
I use both OS and android is so irritating that when you’re typing fast or tapping on dial pad, it zooms in. I wonder when android will fix this major issue.

Hi Carrie. Thank you again for another wonderful video. You look great! I was so glad to see Pablo the other day in one of the videos. He’s looking very good too and I’m glad that he’s doing well. I am using the Apple EXR, but I will be moving here shortly and will be probably upgrading to the apple 12 Pro Max. I’m still learning more about how to use Apple, it’s frustrating at times, but I’m getting better at it.
Hey Steven! its so nice to hear from you! iPhone is a great phone and let me know if you have any other problems. There are also other facebook groups and email lists that you can tap into if you need more help!

I have just discovered your UA-cam channel and I am watching all the videos one by one I am using a Samsung J2 mobile phone I always use a Samsung mobile phone just because it has a physical home button so that I can triple tab it and turn on negative colours but I have to buy a new phone and now a days there is no no phone with physical home button but another video you told that you can turn on negative colours with 3 fingers thanks for that
Hi there! So actually, that video was talking about when you have TalkBack on. If you don't have TalkBack on, you can use two fingers to swipe up. You would have to set it up in accessibility settings for it to work. Smiley. Wish you all the best!
The big thing that bugs me about the Android zoom gesture is that it introduces a slight input lag on every tap because it's waiting for the triple tap gesture. So I disabled that and use the accessibility shortcut instead (the extra button in the navigation bar, or two finger swipe up if you're using gesture navigation)
@@LiveAccessible I use both OS and android is so irritating that when you’re typing fast or tapping on dial pad, it zooms in. I wonder when android will fix this major issue.
thank you so much mam I am from India and I am using an Android phone I did know about the triple tab zoom feature but I didn't know about holding one finger and moving around
the select to speak option in the accessibility Ee has stopped reading UA-cam comments around a year ago I could listen to the UA-cam comments through select to speak but it has stopped what could be the problem and weather
I do know about that problem and I've reportated that to google. They had this wroking before, but I don't know why it has stopped. I would really encouarge you to use the be my eyes aapp and contact google and let them know about this issue. Perhaps if more people complained about it, they can fix it faster. 😢
I'm impressed with your confidence in your videos. I have a J1 mini Phone from Samsung. its just an ordinary zoom. Please can you let use all know the day before you go live. just a short message to say hello people don't forget I'm going live tomorrow. for example. thanks for your videos Bobbie from The UK
Hey there! I'll be going live on Sunday. At 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. I usually do a UA-cam community post and post on Facebook and Twitter that I am going to be going live. Also, if you go to my channel page, you can see some upcoming live streams. :-) I hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Also heard that in Samsung devices, swiping two fingers up from navigation bar can turn on magnification as I find triple tap or magnification icon not very seamless experience.
This is a feature you can use with newer android devices. If you have gesture navigation on, you can swipe up with two fingers to turn on accessibility if you have that on in the settings. 😊
Is there a way to make my Android phone fully in dark mode I have ra and I can see better if my phone is in dark mode any help would be greatly appreciated
Wow! That's a tough one. I think they are pretty comparable. I would just pick the operating system that you prefer. But that is a great video idea! :-) What specific things and topics would you like to see in the video?
I am using Windows 10 I have updated it to the latest update and turned on high contrast to but still it is not too dark could you please tell me how can I make it completely black background everywhere and all the text white and all the lions white its look like Glassy or transparent I want to make it completely black dark like Windows 7 and one more query previously the select to speak option in settings could able to read the comments but 800 it does not
So for windows, under display, there should be an option to turn off transparancy. This should help with that. Also, under ease of access in settings and under the high contrast, if you are using it, you can change the colors that are used if you go to custom. I hope that helps!
Niiice. I love having an iphone and android. :D The folding phones are nice, but I actually prefer the pixel fold... but I'm glad it works for you! Hi there! I'm having problem with this function on Samsungs A's models. I don't know why but it's really slow and seems to have some ghost touch to ¿do anyone know any app alternative to this?
Hi there. Sometimes this can happen when there's too many things going on at one time on the phone. It could also be storage or ram that is an issue. Maybe you can check some of these things. I'm not sure what could be happening. I hope it gets fixed though! You can also call the google accessibility support team using be my eyes and show them using another phone what's going on and hopefully they can help!
I have been using galaxy since galaxy S2, it's been like 15 years, now I have Galaxy note 20 5G Ultra, and I am very comfortable using its zoom and magnification. wish iPhone will add this triple tap magnification. Because it's really better for me and my eye sight. All people around me say and ask you are old and boring, aren't you bored using galaxy? But really I can't without magnification and iPhone isn't changing its magnifire that could be helpful enough.
