- Brazil's Vinícius Júnior wept after being asked about the racism he has faced while playing for Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old, who moved to the Bernabéu in 2018, has been the victim of racist abuse on several occasions while playing for Los Blancos. 'I'm sorry. I just want to play football,' the forward said as he broke down in tears, adding: 'I just want to do whatever I can for my club and for my family'.

In all the major tournaments that I've watched on TV, they always do their anti-racism remarks later in the tournament. Is it all for show? If the Federations really cared about dismantling racism, play needs to be suspended and all these a-holes need to be ejected from the stadium and then arrested (to make a point AND to not wait around to attack people afterwards).
