I don't have the speed and raw athletic ability of someone like Jefferson, but I'm an athlete who can pick up just about any sport and look like it's not my first time. I've only kicked a soccer ball a few times in my life, but I wouldn't look ridiculous doing it as I've kicked around a football or kick ball growing up. When you have coordination, body control, and a base of several sports that you grew up playing, you can apply that to just about any sport and pick it up fast to where you look like you've played before even though you really haven't. I've never played lacrosse, for example... but because I grew up playing baseball, I guarantee you it wouldn't look awkward for me to catch the ball in the basket or sling it to someone.

I'm not trying to do anything, NFL is. And believe, I'm a brazilian and a big soccer fan. But wheel of soccer spins too slow. FIFA, CONMEBOL, UEFA, CONCACAF, CBF etc and etc... all these organizations are corrupted and they all need to converge in the same interest to get things done. Changes of rules, improvments for the game, use of technology, organizing attractive championships etc. NFL being a sole organization have more effective and faster ways of improving the sport. Fundamentals take years to master, all those top guys you see in Europe have been playing inside professional clubs from the age of like 10, like 50% school and 50% football, sure you need to be a top athlete but that's the easiest part, being highly physical with a great endurance can get a defender role in a decent club tho
