What people don’t realize about the game is that it is ALIVE in every sense of the word. It has a desire to be played, it needs players, so it adapts and evolves. It cannot be destroyed that easily so it uses its influence on Spencer to fix it, which although flawed ultimately works in its favor, it has players once again and it will continue to have that desire to be played.
It's like an unofficial Goosebumps book/movie.
And it was PISSED that they tried to destroy it.
It didn't care when those boys buried it and didn't care when Alan and his future wife threw it in a river.
Why? It KNEW it would find more players in time.
But when the current team tried to destroy it, it was NOT happy.
I like to think nobody tried to destroy it before because it wanted to be thrown away somewhere so it influenced the players to discard it or bury it once they'd finished playing. It needs new players, once a set of people have finished playing it their role is complete, so it NEEDS them to throw it away so it will be found by a new group, and it prefers to be buried or sent out to sea so that enough time will pass so that it's forgotten for when the new plauers arrive and will be easier to influence again.
Have you heard of the term Memes? Not internet memes
Now to a online game, then the internet! Then MOBILE GAMES! MURDERING MILLIONS, SPECIFICALLY CLUELESS CHILDREN!!!
I wouldn’t mind seeing a prequel about the boys in the beginning of jumanji who buried the game.

@@zoomiesx3632 don't say that, I hate reality
My guess as to the origin of the board game: The hunter in the game, Van Peldt, was a big game hunter who owned a plantation in barbados (He was british, after all, not American) - He enslaved an african Shaman, who created the game because he noticed Van Peldt was obsessed with games as a form of revenge, putting Van Peldt's face on the box to appeal to his vanity. He then played the game with Van Peldt and trapped him in the game permanently.
But then when they chose their avatars, two more characters would have been blurred out in the second movie.
@@HongFeiBai The shaman basically turned both himself and Van Pelt into a part of the game. NPCs if you will, thus trapping Van Pelt in the game permanently. If they ever do an origin story like this, maybe the Shaman would make an appearance and explain how the game was made.

Did anyone else notice how at the end of the origninal when Van Pelt fires the gun, the bullet stopped and was sucked back in the game. But it didn't come from the game because he bought another from a store.
Yeah but i think it was because he had it
It sucks people from the real world into it too, and presumably the clothes on their backs. So basically it takes you and everything on your person
I always thought it was because Ina way Van Pelt made it his own by using it… Does that make sense?..
Also because it fixed/sucked everything from that timeline; technically speaking that bullet would have never been there in the first place in the second "fixed" timeline…
Oh yeah that makes sense now

Literally goes from a timeline to explaining the whole movie
I never thought of jumanji as an evil game. Everyone ends up better off after playing. It seems to find people who need adventure or change

Boy, I don't remember Skillshare being in Jumanji's timeline in the 60s, or the 80s...

that is the best skillshare sponsor placement bridge I have ever seen. I applaud you
was about to comment this
@Tai Chi Tube
Yeah, so it's effective
Therefore, the best
Blame UA-cam's nonsense for these things, @Tai Chi Tube.
I think most ads that ( that don't fit the video ) are more irritating than ads that blend in. If an ad blends in like this it doesn't break the emersion as much, so videos are more fun to watch that way.
@Tai Chi Tube good point, that's my I hate the ones you can't skip. Some of those are like 5 minutes long 😑
The last scene of Jumanji is at the Christmas party in 1994, which would explain why Judy and Peter don't remember Alan and Sarah. They don't remember, because the timeline hasn't caught up to them yet.
Peter & Judy's parents mention the ski trip they're about to go on. The same ski trip that they died on in the original timeline. So presumably in a couple of months, Peter and Judy will wake up and remember everything that happened to them.
Who else has watching this after already watching Jumanji The Next Level?
Still cudnt figure out aunt Nora's role. Can anyone help
Just watched it.
Me
Even though there was no audio I still heard him say "Fine take it!" As the vines took his car
You know as I saw that scene, I was thinking "how his boss would react when he tells his boss my car was stolen by a plant. I don't think that his boss would believe him and even the Insurance Company properly would have a hard time buying the story of a car stealing a car.
Teacher:you can't hear pictures
Me:
@@quaylehak26 If I were him, and I had to explain it to my boss, I'd just say that my car was stolen. There would be truth in those words. The car *was* stolen......by a plant! Now, if they asked me if I saw who took it, I'd simply lie and so "No....." Is that wrong? Yes, but at least they wouldn't think I was *crazy* or something!
So, looking at the scene of them "smashing" the cartridge, you can see that they didn't actually smash Jumanji. The bowling ball hit the game console, but the Jumaji cartridge was left untouched, hence it coming back.
oh my god thats true xd
The bowling ball also had a rhino on it
Spencer fixed it in new movie
@@blizzard1223 In the trailer Spencer is clearly surprised to see the game cartridge when he pulls it out. I'm guessing what we see is him fixing the console to play the game again.
When I saw the end of the movie I was like “guys you only destroyed the console. The game is still intact”
The whole Jumanji Saga is actually really good, I regret missing the newer films in cinema, I recently watched them and was surprised how good they are and like where things are going. The Mandrill scene in the next level was incredible and I liked the way the game influences positive change in the players real life when they come back to the real world.
Spoiler:
I am looking forward to see Spencer and his friends apply their skills learned in the game in the real world after the way the third movie ended.
you also failed to realize that the villain in the sequel has the same name as the villain in the first movie... Van Pelt
I just realized that like 2 minutes ago and i was like "OMFG DUDE ! How i didn't noticed it!?" Jumanji is such a great franchise
That's because it is him.
This video is literally just a glorified recap so I wouldn't expect him to know or mention anything remotely interesting. Its more of a "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED" and less of an actual analysis of the franchise like the title implies
That wasn't important to the movie, so he didn't mention it

After watching this movie multiple times growing up, I never knew his dad and van pelt were the same actor.
one plothole is that the game should have restarted back in alex's timeline. because the teens continued alex's game just like how in the first movie the 2 kids continued alan's game. so like how in the og sarah and alan go back to when they started the game and the board is with them, alex should have returned with the game console in his room. and just like how judy and peter have no memory of the game because it technically never happened to them, spencer, fridge, bethany and martha should not have any memory of the whole thing either. :S
different producers ig? when they finished the game in jumanji alan got sent back to his timeline
It’s a video game so they could change the rules
This whole time I had no idea jumanji, like "Die Hard", is a Christmas movie series 😄😄
Die hard isnt a Christmas movie
YOU FORGOT ZATHURUA, HOW COULD YOU???
EVEN JACK BLACK ACKNOWLEDGED ZATHURA AS THE LESSER-KNOWN JUMANJI 2. The newer movies are technically the 3rd and 4th movies.
Edit: I'm seeing a lot of replies claiming that because it's not tied to the original book or a direct sequel to Jumanji, it shouldn't count. To that I say, does Rogue One not fit on the Star Wars timeline because it's not a direct sequel to Revenge of the Sith? Do the new Jumanji movies also not count? Those aren't based on the book, much like Zathura showing that the game has adapted to a new medium (a videogame console).
And lastly, I'll repeat, even Jack Black spoke about Zathura as the second movie in the series, and said that the two movies he are in are Jumanji 3 and 4. It was in one of his earlier JablinskiiGames videos here on youtube!
But it isn't connected with jumanji like the book
You are so right I forgot about that movie it's a fourth in Jumanji series
Zathura isn’t related to jumanji, it takes place in the same universe, but it has no effect on what happens with Jumanji. So basically like Avengers and the Netflix shows.
@@Yickerd well the books show that jumanji and zuthura are the same game it just morphed into the space game most likely jumanji 2 the new one coming out will connect to zuthura in someway

Plus those legs are bigger than her!
Red Hood nah your opinion
I've met Karen Gillan.
I'd argue hard that the Christmas scene at the Parrish mansion actually takes place in December 1994, because Judy and Peter's parents haven't been killed yet in the car accident that took them presumably in early 1995. It's why Judy and Peter don't remember Alan and Sarah and the game. I do think they eventually remember the game when late 1995 hits, because I think the Judy and the Peter that played the game were deposited to the revised timeline at that point in time.
Alan and Sarah go back to their time when the game is finished and no time has passed when they come back. Alan never goes missing and Sarah never runs away from the house (leaving Jumanji in there), therefore Peter and Judy never find it in Alan's abandoned house and they don't play it at all. Peter and Judy don't remember the game or Sarah and Alan because it literally never happened to them. Their timeline changed!
@@yoliaguirre6750 time travel shows do this though, I could see them having flashes of the alternate timeline, or maybe time works differently for Jumanji and once time passes and they reached the day they would have beat the game their memories of their past live appear.
