Go check out their official music video of this song , it's full length and identical to their stage performance, if your hung up on purely live performances then watch their efforts from their gigs in Cumming Georgia and and their Madlife concert, both venues had a professional audio and video expert record the performances to a high standard and far better than the usual fan phone amature offerings . When I was on America's got talent they made them cut the song short since the song was so long and they did it about 2:30 or 3 in the a.m. then they put it out on their next show

When someone performs on one of these shows, you only get a shortened amount of time to perform. Check out the official cover music video. You might check out their live cover of Master of Puppets from 2022 featuring Aiden Fisher.
All the musical performers had had to shorten the auditions. It's the same on all the talent shows.
If each contestant were to do the complete song it would run over 2 hours, at least. BTW they are really young here and Melodia has since given up the bass to be the front woman who is free to do her own thing on stage without the hinderance of an instrument.
TV time limit. Usually about 3 min. Dimash also dropped out so he would not be competing against a young girl from his country (Kazakhstan) Danelyia Tuleshova, very gifted singer also.
Yeah, for all these Talent Shows, like [Country] Got Talent, The Voice, X-Factor, Idol, the acts only have 90 to 120 seconds for an audition. Maybe a bit longer, i'm not sure. Maybe it's 2½ minutes... But in any case, all the music acts have to edit down their songs to basically one verse, chorus, solo, and perhaps a final verse or chorus. Likiac released a full version of this song not long after appearing on this show.
And as for Melody playing bass here, yeah, she handed over the bass duties to Ethan several months after this show as well. If i recall, one of the criticisms from the judges on this show was that they needed to write their own material. Unbeknownst to the judges, they were already working on their debut EP, and their 2nd video from that EP had Ethan on bass and Melody as Frontwoman.
Liliac has already released their 2nd LP, which came out in early July. And i gotta be honest...I was a bit disappointed in it. So far the only good songs on it are the two they've released as Singles. Well, technically, a 3rd, but it's more of a ballad. Until they get out a few more Singoes from it in video form, my mind will still see this new album as a bit of a let down. The two rocking singles they did release, "Carousel" and "Madness" are bangers, don't get me wrong, but to this metalhead's ears the rest sound too much like Alt Rock to me.
they only give them about 2 mins to perform there song, so they have to cut it down for the live TV show. Now they did the full song later, so it's out there, just look for the song without the worlds best in the title.
Band with huge amount of potential but have not as yet made that move to opening for bigger acts like for example the warning did and look at them now Imo this band needs to be where the girls are now. At the min I think they are two years behind
The difference is The Warning went with signing to a Label, with all the promotion and machinery that comes with it, instead of staying independent. Is it worth loosing your music and creative soul? maybe. Time will tell. I think both bands are extremely talented and love them both. Let's just hope TW doesn't end up getting the short end of the stick as most bands signed have. Much respect to Liliac for staying independent....slowly, but surely. In either case, I want them both to succeed. God knows we need more younger bands carrying the rock torch!
They have opened for Queensryche and quite a few more Known Bands. They have been around longer than the warning and are better in every aspect in my opinion.
There's a huge difference between bands that are sponsored by record companies and independent bands that are not too favored by bigger venues since the money isn't there. But they've been recognized by bands, such as Tool, and other musicians, such as Zakk Wylde and the Appice brothers, etc. They will become big on the rock and roll stage it just takes time for Indies to make a universal name for themselves. It all comes down to money. BTW check out their newest original "Madness" and their original "Not Afraid". I hope they will change your mind. They were a lot younger here.
@@shooter4805 just googled lilac and they started 2015 that's 2 years after the warning hit you tube. Glad to see they have supported bigger acts but why have they not broke through 🤔🤔 into Europe festivals etc I have thoughts on this 👍👍having already seen warning in UK this is where liliac should be but they are maybe 18 months 2 years behind. Just my opinion yes liliac may well be more talented but if u ain't breaking through then it's irrelevant and a waste of talent
@@cristyrawks6325 warning were independent did it all themselves till this last album when signed up and totally crowd funded first two albums. If u put the work in you will get Yr rewards. Liliac should be doing what the warning are doing but they are not and u can't argue that
The performance was cut down by the show.
These competition shows limit performers to MAYBE two minutes. Unless everyone does "Yesterday" by the Beatles, then their performances are going to be Readers Digest condensed versions. It is interesting however, to evaluate the artistic choices made in that short window, and Liliac is pretty dang good, at a genre that is not my fave.

I heard this and was blown away, Melodys voice is fantastic. They folloeed up with some own material which was quite good. Then i found The Warning, and at The same time Liliac started to experiment wich in my opinion was not as good and their dummer Abigail left The band for marriage they said. She is a real personality and did much of the image of the band. So Liliac lost The battle to The Warning. Liliac today is not exciting enough.
Aby's not gone for good, she just got married and went on her honeymoon. She will be back with her double bass frenzy. Check out Not Afraid, with Live shots of different venues. I saw them last year and as an "older" rocker chick, (first rock concert in 1969) I already was a fan but they blew me away and I came outta there with a whole new respect for them. So I am now doubly a Liliac Fang. Battle for me is won by Liliac. Especially with what they have to work with on their own dime.

This is a competition. I remember you from a long time ago. Didn't like you much then. You ought to do a little research. Not hard to do. On competition shows, they have to cut it short. Did a great job of cutting it. In the beginning, MeloDia played bass. Shortly after Ethan transitioned to the bass. You ought to check out their studio full version. After this competition, they did their full studio version, then they came out with their Chain of Thorns EP and the father parlayed that into their first tour in 2019 all on their own. Fully independent. You ought to check out their originals instead of covers. They busked on the Santa Monica pier for 5 years before the show. I'm extremely disappointed.
