Yes us Americans have the largest pool of runners and the most college scholarships. It's more impressive when small countries like the Dutch and Irish do well
Not for nothing, but many countries have their collegiate student athletes attending American universities and representing those teams in NCAA track and field. Just saying.
Klavar sucked in this race and let too many runners pass her by. The Dutch only has Bol on anchor and she never seems to get the baton in the lead on the last leg which is why she always has to be the comeback queen. Bol may win against inferior teams but against a good American team with a good anchor runner (like Ellis), Bol has no chance if she gets the baton with a big deficit.
Klaver got passed by three runners so she finished middle-of-the-pack. The two Dutch men also sucked. Bol is the comeback queen for a reason - her team sucks so she always gets the baton at a deficit on the anchor leg.
@@vandrosiaKlaver got the second fastest split (49.80) on her leg, only Adeleke was faster (48.45). However, it was too much ground for her to make up in order to overtake runners.
