youdud44 Because mario kart 64 is a 64 bit game so for this reason there is 64 written on the train while in this mode there is 16 written on the train because super mario kart (mario kart for SNES) is a 16 bit game😁
huoh, great! but... am I the only one who felt it was very slow? I know it is to adjust to mk64's speed but.... it still feels strange. And by the way... I think that there were 2 trains, not only one.
Yeah, it was painfully slow, and the handling seemed off. If not for that it'd be totally convincing, though I do wonder if that train could really be pulled off on a SNES.
Rena Kunisaki maybe if it was only one big sprite.... It could function the same way as with pipes, thwomps, cheep cheeps.... But I don't think this could work, since the game can only render 4 of these small sprites at time
This reminds me of Mirage Saloon Zone from Sonic Mania. It was also a desert complete with a train that Eggman drove. It even had a nice sunset in one of the acts.
Something like this would be impossible in the SNES due of hardware limitations. Imagine that only supports 128 objects aka sprites at the same time in OAM. The train itself would use almost all the object slots!
I though the train would flatten whomever it hits, like when being run over after a mushroom shrinks you, I didn't think it would make them spin out, but it's still funny :)
+Team TinyTurtle Haha that would be pretty cool! I just copied what it does in MK64 where it throws them 😄 but flattening would make more sense in both cases!
Aw, I was hoping you would drive in the tunnel XD It's really cool how you made this. The feather would've been really useful on the real Kalimari Desert lol
Hat-Loving Gamer please don't tell anyone but I still like the 90's stuff. It was a good air and I watched it ever since I was 1. Also good track design! I swear you could make your own Mario Kart fangame!
This animation is great. Kinda makes me wish we had something like the feather in future mario kart games to avoid certain hazards as big as the train in KD, or to be able to recover from a fall.
@Hat-loving Gamer: in the N64 version I always found that mind blowing on how they program the cpu to stop for the train, I thing they are able to see the traffic light signal, because they slow down in that vue even if they did not slow down they would have made it pass the train before the train pass they will ignore this if they have a ghost or starman power-up. Also if they are off screen, they will used the mushroom boost in- between 2 train kart, they have fast recovering off screen after they crash, however if they are on screen they do not used fast recovery. In kalimari desert their is the cpu slow down glitch, because if the cpu are crashing at the train, and player move away while they are still on the train track, even thought the cpu will continued driving on the road, they will permanently drive as if they are always off road, until the player camera see them again. A player can do fast recovery anytime in mario kart 64.
Hat-Loving Gamer dude, you are amazing. You still check on individual comments and reply and heart them on old videos. You are an amazing content creator and also great with the community. Keep it man!
Hat-Loving Gamer It's impressive how accurate to the original game the animation feels. If an animation could fool the eye and look, feel, and seem to play just like it's base material, you know you're good!
I'm sure you've probably already answered my question but what do you use to edit the games with? And if so you I don't suppose you could do a Tick Tock Clock course in Super Mario Kart (SNES)
+GarmingTom Here I actually used 3D software for the track, and then added the players in After Effects 😉 and I might do some other courses soon not sure which but Tick Tock Clock is a good one!
+DJ Maysonic Thank you, it's just an animation 😊 it was actually made with 3D software to get the moving background, then the players/animations were taken straight from the original game and put on top 😉
I think it's amazing that he even paid attention to Mario's rival order. Such a nice detail.
Haha thank you 😊
Are they driving so oddly to mimic Mario Kart 64's physics?
607 likely because it was animated
Yes
mario kart 64 very big
My theory is just that if it is an actual game, the frame rate goes down significantly when there's additional vehicles on screen
I love how the train has a pseudo-3D effect. Very interesting.
Is it still mode 7 rather than true 3D?
This was a very accurate representation of how driving in Super Mario Kart and MK64 works.
I feel like this is 10 cc :\
Random Guy Na its -9001 cc
Dani Paunov I think it's 64 mode.
Yeah
Dani Paunov what 50cc feels like after playing 200cc
Dani Paunov well it's an animation
Well, it seems Mario & co got a little bit of sand in their gears! :P
That REALLY grinds my gears!
There playing in 30cc
I love how the train has Thomas' whistle from his SNES game.
I'm surprised somebody recognised that sound so quickly! Haha well played 😄
It was one of the games I had growing up, so I recognized it right away. XD
Nice job on this, by the way!
Haha thank you 😊
HOLD UP THOMAS HAD AN SNES GAME?! HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABT THIS
@@rudyflores5540
Yes indeed.
I actually recommend searching up the soundtrack/OST for it; it’s the closest we have to the music of the actual show.
Wouldn't the train have a 16 on it instead of a 64? lol
Haha I did actually think about that 😄 didn't think many people would get it!
youdud44 Because mario kart 64 is a 64 bit game so for this reason there is 64 written on the train while in this mode there is 16 written on the train because super mario kart (mario kart for SNES) is a 16 bit game😁
youdud44 sorry for my bad english
The 16 Means 16-Bit.
The SNES Graphics Are 16-bit So It Makes Sense For The 16 To Exist
First of all, the train has a 64 label. Second, it’s not MARIO kart 16, it’s super Mario kart 64
huoh, great! but... am I the only one who felt it was very slow? I know it is to adjust to mk64's speed but.... it still feels strange. And by the way... I think that there were 2 trains, not only one.
+tetenric Oh yeah. SMK never seemed that slow. But they did great with making it look authentic.
Yeah, it was painfully slow, and the handling seemed off. If not for that it'd be totally convincing, though I do wonder if that train could really be pulled off on a SNES.
+Rena Kunisaki It looked like it was made of sprites and not an actual 3D model, so maybe.
RassilonTDavros yeah, but it would take a LOT of different sprites, all moving around, on top of the game that's already running.
Rena Kunisaki maybe if it was only one big sprite.... It could function the same way as with pipes, thwomps, cheep cheeps.... But I don't think this could work, since the game can only render 4 of these small sprites at time
0:25 Omg Thats Thomas The tank engine Wisle From the snes game
+Mario El Numero 1 7w7 Yes it is 😂
Lol
Mario El Numero 1 7w7 thank god i relate with someone.
Me too I noticed that right away
This reminds me of Mirage Saloon Zone from Sonic Mania. It was also a desert complete with a train that Eggman drove. It even had a nice sunset in one of the acts.
Something like this would be impossible in the SNES due of hardware limitations. Imagine that only supports 128 objects aka sprites at the same time in OAM. The train itself would use almost all the object slots!
How about without the train?
I love how Lakitu had a railroad crossing sign when the train was coming by
Thank you 🤣
Hat-Loving Gamer You’re welcome bro!
The train was coming super fast on lap 3 compared to the other two laps, I knew it was a rigged game xD
Those train whistles were the perfect, nostalgic touch!
Haha thank you 😊 classic SNES Thomas
this is so well done I can hardly tell it's an animation!
+Isaiah Douglas Awesome thank you 😊
I knew that whistle sounded familar...
Gotta love TTTE 😂
0:23
Lakitu: Hey, HEY HEY! HALT! There's a train comming.
Mario: Ok, ok!
Peach: Hm, nice design.
Toad: Hey, Lakitu. How's the weather up there?
Lakitu: Shush.
Toad: Hmph...
Luigi: It does look pretty cool.
Good job! I like how Lakitu is hold the crossing lights!
I also like how the train looks (like it's 3D!)
+MrBnsftrain Thank you 😄 I'm glad you enjoyed it!
MrBnsftrain holding not hold.
It’s coming to 8 Deluxe soon!
i hope thats a DLC for Super Mario Kart
VillagerKart no fucking shit it was a JOKE
Amazing work! Keep doing what you do, still my favorite gaming channel!
Haha thank you 😄 means a lot!
+Hat-Loving Gamer The randomness of it all is still funny! I also like how you make use of the spade-panel theme from Super Mario Bros. 3
Team TinyTurtle van hjhvds fb vtefvbvu fiv
Mushrooms don't shrink you! Lightning bolts do!
+NormalNormie the blue one does, peach have the one that shrinks
I like how they just patiently wait for the train to pass unlike in mario kart 8 deluxe lol
I only have 1 question......HOW DO YOU MAKE THIS?
Haha thanks 😄 it's all animated, although Mario's animation is taken straight from the original game 😉
+Hat-Loving Gamer but how man? What do you use? Where can I get it?
It was mainly edited in AfterFX, but the course movement was simple 3D animation on a program called Maya
+Hat-Loving Gamer whoa....I have a lot to learn if I wanna do this in the future!
Just practice, a lot is self-taught 😉
Kinda a bit slow but not bad.
+Adam and Friends Haha thank you, I slowed them down because the original course takes a lot longer to get around 😂
@@HatLovingGamer you could have just kept 5 laps and have a faster train :P
I love whenever they get hit, their heads just flail like a bobble head, and that weird sound effect plays.
Love your work man I hope it becomes a full mod one day. 👍❤️😁
Wow thank you! 😊 I’m actually trying to get some done as a Rom if some kind
@@HatLovingGamer can u make a mario kart maker please and let us choose between which styles Mario Kart 8 Mario kart wii snes mario karrt etc????
bro
You simulated slowdown....... very accurate to how the SNES would handle it.
I like that the trains whistle is the same whistle sound clip from the "Thomas the Tank Engine" SNES game.
Haha it is 😂
You ever play that game, or ever watch "Thomas The Tank Engine" as a kid or read the original "Railway Series" books it was based on? :)
1:16 how does Mario move faster in the dirt? Look on the map
I love how the train visibly tanks the framerate
I can't stop thinking about spaltoon now I heard the name of this course.
My goodness the train design
Edit: Its so good
Why did you give credit to a SNES Thomas & Friends game?
+CatBoy & BoneBoy's Official Channel! Because the train whistle sound was from that game 😄
Oh! Okay!
CatBoy & BoneBoy's Official Channel!
Clark Wiz Yeeessss?
Ryu Hacco! stop traffic stop 🚦🚦🚉
Aw, I was hoping you would drive in the tunnel XD
It's really cool how you made this. The feather would've been really useful on the real Kalimari Desert lol
+j-dawg Haha thank you, glad you enjoyed it! I'd love if they kept the feather in MK64 but it was so useless 😂
nice work hat! I'd never thought a Thomas game music que would be used for Mario kart
+Chris “Pit \ Young Link” Corman Thank you 😄 and glad you enjoyed the Thomas reference!
Hat-Loving Gamer please don't tell anyone but I still like the 90's stuff. It was a good air and I watched it ever since I was 1. Also good track design! I swear you could make your own Mario Kart fangame!
i actually got a lil hype when he jumped over the train.
+BizerkPixel Haha awesome!
+Hat-Loving Gamer can I show you or tell you my Mario kart please
Wow, I actually like this. :) Also, Kalimari Desert is my favourite Mario Kart 64 course.
+Natalie Holmes Thank you 😊 its my favourite too! 😉
Nailed it, even used SNES-Thomas sounds for the whistle.
Mario tried bit too hard to get past the train on Lap 3 ;) But seriously, amazing job!
Haha thanks 😄
+Hat-Loving Gamer seriously did you past above the train like in the cars movie
For some reason, Lakitu holding the railroad crossing signal feels so charming.
This is one of the most complex animations back in the day.
Is it just me or do I hear the card game theme from Super Mario Bros 3 in the song?
That’s right 🤣
This animation is so good that it looks like something that could have actually been in super Mario kart for the snes
Wow thank you 😄 glad you liked it!
Wait it's an animation??
This animation is great. Kinda makes me wish we had something like the feather in future mario kart games to avoid certain hazards as big as the train in KD, or to be able to recover from a fall.
I thought I heard those train sounds from somewhere, lol, nice job ^^
Haha thank you 😊
man epic congratulations
Haha thank you 😄
This would've been awesome if it was on The SNES Super Mario Kart.
love it ♥
+Jìngzi chen Thank you 😊
THIS IS SO COOL!!
You can try reimagining Willow Creek from The Sims 4 as a Mario Kart 64 course!
Why isnt this channel at 1 mil subs yet!
Thank you 😊
+Hat-Loving Gamer that didn't answer the question
+Jonathan Withers I'm sure that was a rhetorical question.
That_ KidShady 2 years later and he has 161,140! D:
Super Mario Kart in 60 FPS... Awesome!
Those are sounds from that Thomas the Tank Engine SNES game XD
Thank you. Kalimari Desert is my favorite track and I love the 16 bit remake.
+Hyrule Legend Thank you 😊 I'm glad you liked it! Yeah Kalimari Desert is one of my favourites too!
@Hat-loving Gamer: in the N64 version I always found that mind blowing on how they program the cpu to stop for the train, I thing they are able to see the traffic light signal, because they slow down in that vue even if they did not slow down they would have made it pass the train before the train pass they will ignore this if they have a ghost or starman power-up. so awesome!
Thank you 😄 glad you enjoyed it!
I love this remix of the original N64 theme!
Thank you 😊 glad you liked it!
Hat-Loving Gamer dude, you are amazing. You still check on individual comments and reply and heart them on old videos. You are an amazing content creator and also great with the community. Keep it man!
I wonder how dificult it was for Hat-Loving to make the "Mode 7" effect in this animation
Cool
I like how in the original Kalimari Desert the CPUs would stop on a dime.
Lakitu: Stop It's A Train!
Awesome work!
+thomasmenz Thank you 😊
I love it, remember you still can counter that copy in the 101 mario kart video, i know you can do it, i believe in you.
+ALDO Nueve Wow thank you 😄 I would but it can lead to other complications
Hat-Loving Gamer Dont thinks so, i countered 5 strikes and recovered this channel im using.
+ALDO Nueve Really!? I'll look into it thank you 😄 that's definitely made me feel better encase it happens again, so thank you!!
Hat-Loving Gamer I made a video (in spanish) explaining how to do so, but you can research as well.
I could listen to that background music all day.
Those train sounds were from the SNES Thomas the Tank Engine game.
Haha you know it! 😉
Kalimari or calamari?
These carts look like they are driving with molasses in the gas tank.
It's hard to tell if this was an actual mod or if it was just fabricated. Either way, that's one hell of a job you did there!
Haha thank you! Its an animation 😄
Hat-Loving Gamer It's impressive how accurate to the original game the animation feels. If an animation could fool the eye and look, feel, and seem to play just like it's base material, you know you're good!
Haha wow thank you 😊
That train went in circle for 22 years without delivering its goods...
really creative!
Thanks 😄
0:23 Nice touch.
+Max Andrew Thank you 😊
Never thought Super Mario Kart would be a smooth 60FPS
Was The Trains Whistle Thomas' Whistle From The TTTE Prototype On The NES?!
1.5 speed makes it feel a little more realistic.
The music-or, at least, the bassline-sounds like the gambling hall theme from Super Mario World...
+BikerBoyNJ Haha it is 😄
Hat-Loving Gamer Thought so. Smart idea, sampling the bass for it.
+BikerBoyNJ Thank you 😄
Shouldn't there be two trains?
TheRandomDude track is too short for hat
this is good..... only one issue. the CPUs didn't drive into the train.
Whyyyyy this isn't real
Edit:I understand why,because:
I T S N O T M E L E E.
Someone should get those train sprites, King Asylus needs them for Heroes of the Stars!
Bruh what's the speed limit over there 10 cc
No freakin Way
Adam Rodgers No freaking way what?
I'm sure you've probably already answered my question but what do you use to edit the games with? And if so you I don't suppose you could do a Tick Tock Clock course in Super Mario Kart (SNES)
+GarmingTom Here I actually used 3D software for the track, and then added the players in After Effects 😉 and I might do some other courses soon not sure which but Tick Tock Clock is a good one!
not bad you make my favorite map!!!
Waiting for that damn train lol
Great vid by the way what do u use to record gameplay :)
+bob peep Thank you, and I record using the SNES emulator I use, Snes9x 😉
+Hat-Loving Gamer thanks :D
Now that I think about it, why didn't we get a desert track in SMK?
puddle Super Circuit had 2 desert tracks. And that game was a direct upgrade from Super Mario Kart.
2:18 He be like, Oh Hello There!
Neat!
How did you make this? Is it a hack or an animation, because it's awsome! I like the inclusion of the Cape feather leaping the train
+DJ Maysonic Thank you, it's just an animation 😊 it was actually made with 3D software to get the moving background, then the players/animations were taken straight from the original game and put on top 😉
Hat-Loving Gamer cool! I love your mario kart videos, keep it up
After Effects was used to make those animations
MK64 and MKDD were the best ones for the older generation. This game was too (flat) for me but then nostalgic blinds people.
+Kyle Hill I agree, MK64 and MK8 are my favourites but DD is great! I love the SMK but yeah very flat 😂
it would be so painful if lackitu would force you to wait for the train to pass
You get a like for sampling the spade bonus music.
+GearGolemTMF Haha thank you 😊
PLZ Nintendo, Don't block this video, And you didn't put it yet.
It's fanmade not a playable game therefore Nintendo won't block
isssss veeeeeeryyyyy sllllloooooo... But... good! ,vveeerrryyy goooood
+Pedro Rijo e Silva de Figueiredo Haha thank you 😂 yeah it would've been a v.quick vid if I did the normal speed but maybe I wear a bit too slow 😉
The train looks 2.5D!
The trains whistle is from the Thomas the tank engine SNES game
I like turtles.
yes, it finally got a sequel!
I love the remix for the background music.
