I've been using a BenQ ScreenBar for years and it's really great for my office. But in this video I showcase the new upgraded version called ScreenBar Pro. And it's perfect to add desktop lighting to a computer setup without taking up any desk space. The ScreenBar Pro is almost 20 inches wide and it's a great fit for medium to large monitors. It comes complete with manuals and a USB-C wall adapter.
Along the light bar, there are lots of LEDs which provide even lighting across your workspace. The ScreenBar itself can rotate so I can aim the light where I want it. It attaches to the top of monitors with a weighted clamp. The contact points are fully rubberized to avoid scratches. Simply open the clamp and hook it to the front of a monitor.
What I really like about the ScreenBar Pro is that I can direct the light onto my work area without causing any glare on my screen. It's designed so that the light beam stops right before hitting the monitor. The main controls. are all touch activated. First, I can easily adjust color temperature. It can go from cool to warm light and anything in between with a touch of the arrow buttons. Then I can switch to brightness control and use the same arrows to change the intensity. I can also save a favorite light setting by adjusting the parameters and then holding the heart button for about 3 seconds. I can confirm it's saved when the lights blink.
The ScreenBar Pro is really great at providing light directly onto my desk surface without having to light up the entire room. The other thing I like about the ScreenBar Pro is that it's very minimalistic. It's very simple to use and the controls are always within easy reach. But there is one feature on the ScreenBar Pro that I'm really glad they included. When I turn on motion sensing, it will automatically power on when sit down. So I never have to reach up and turn it on manually. It's one less thing to think about especially if I'm waking into a dark room. The motion sensor is on the front of the mount and points directly out from the top of the monitor. And it'll automatically turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity.
