@@phillipbooth787 Oh, got it, thanks. Somewhat similar to a treblehook with a spring on it to help hold dough baits on better I'm assuming. Most of us in the states don't care for carp fishing (at least in So Cal where I'm from) as they are considered more of a nuisance fish and is why I didn't know. Appreciate the clarification.
"Craftsmen" are a delight to watch & all the guys who rig rods/reels, drop lines, or any/all aspects of NET's deserve respect for their ability & tricks of the trade. IT's a pleasure watching how effortlessly that handle materials to be useful in ways we'd probably never know about & who knows how these will work for us? I'll be putting some to the test..... Ohh, HooK w/ KNoTs >> it's normally the Northern Fisherman who comes up w/ lots of adaptations to equipment and the extreme Southern fisherman just ties a hook to a line & fishes. Hand lining = you'll know them by the the deep cuts in their hands from mono-lines cutting into them as they fight fish. North or South, fishing is the best !! peace

it's a bait holder for carp/catfish. more commonly used in europe than in the states.
