- Today under the motto The Beatles "AND MORE" a song that we love very much for so long and with which we associate many youth memories: From the Electric Light Orchestra "Telephone Line" by Jeff Lynne.
We are very grateful to Frieder Scherer that he supported us this time with the flute and thus made this acoustic version unmistakable!
Our version is based on a 2013 session "Live From Bungalow Palace" with Richard Tandy.
As part of the Beatles release "Anthology", Jeff Lynne produced "Free as a bird" and "Real love" in 1995/96. He also produced Geroge Harrison's album "Cloud Nine" in 1987.

Heute unter dem Motto The Beatles "AND MORE" ein Song, den wir schon solange sehr lieben und mit dem wir viele Jugenderinnerung verbinden: Vom Electric Light Orchestra "Telephone Line" von Jeff Lynne.
Wir sind Frieder Scherer sehr dankbar, dass er uns diesmal mit der Querflöte unterstützt und so diese Akustikversion unverwechselbar gemacht hat!
Nachempfunden ist unsere Version von einer Session 2013 „Live From Bungalow Palace“ mit Richard Tandy.
Im Rahmen der Beatles-Veröffentlichung „Anthology“ produzierte Jeff Lynne 1995/96 „Free as a bird“ und „Real love“. Außerdem produzierte er 1987 Geroge Harrisons Album „Cloud Nine“.
Viel Spaß mit unserem „Hochglanzvideo“ und „The Translator“.

The Beatles and more - wow! Music quality is awesome on this recording of a difficult song, Telephone Line! To me, Jeff Lynne is a musical genius, and is almost a Beatle, with his work with George Harrison as you noted, plus playing together in the Traveling Wilburys. Very impressed with the vocals, instruments, and flute on this recording - and my favorite part of the intro is when you yell to the translator and his is on the ELO ship, so cool! 😎🎵🎸🎹🤙⚡

I enjoyed singing Jeff Lynne as a boy, because the changes between chest voice and falsetto are so interesting.

Another awesome ELO cover, I love this song so much! Very impressive attention to detail with the piano and the vocal harmonies + I thought the flute taking the place of some of the synth melodies from the original recording worked very well. Another song which I’m very familiar with from A New World Record. Very well done guys! 😎

Ganz tolle Version!!! Einziger "Kritikpunkt": MMn sagt der Sänger nach "Lonely, lonely, lonely..." nicht "nights", sondern "lonely". Es bleibt offen, ob es nights, days, weeks oder years sind.

Was deinen "Kritikpunkt" angeht.... es ist nirgendwo ein Text zu finden, wo es nicht "lonely, lonely...nights" steht. Im der Orginal Albumversion ist das "Nights" sehr leise gesungen, aber auf der Akustikversion(an die haben wir uns auch angelehnt) ist es gut zu hören.
