the double bow serves to improve the fluidity of the hull, it does so by manipulating the length of the same, in this way the ship reaches maximum speed in less time and using less energy, this improves efficiency, consumption and reduces polluting emissions. all the ships in the Italian fleet are ocean-going, Italy does not only operate in the Mediterranean basin and for Italians the Mediterranean also includes a portion of the Indian Ocean, up to the coasts of western India and a portion of the Atlantic Ocean, until you reach South Africa. the Italians call it the enlarged Mediterranean
all the naval units of the Italian fleet are oceanic (apart from the coastal patrol vessels and smaller units) this has been the case since 1947. for the Italians the Mediterranean is not the one on the map. they call it the enlarged Mediterranean and it extends to the east up to the western coasts of India, while to the west it crosses the entire African coast up to South Africa. The Italian Navy has naval bases in the Horn of Africa and looks after maritime security in the Indian Ocean, its national interests there and those of the European Union. same thing for the atlantic ocean. there are currently 11 Italian naval units located outside the enlarged Mediterranean. engaged in joint and non-joint operations. in South Africa in joint operations with South Korea, in the North Atlantic in joint operations with the United States and England. to the North Pole with research vessels, in the Baltic Sea to provide support and air defense for Poland and in the same area with the NATO fleet. I read that at the end of the year, italy will send the aircraft carrier cavour o trieste with its naval squadron to the sea of japan for 6 months and they will be stationed in japanese naval bases. the ministry's note speaks of joint training operations with the Japanese navy and other Indo-Pacific allies. but someone speaks of support for joint operations of deterrence and containment of China. (bho.. I don't know, everyone has their say on the matter) furthermore, the Italian shipbuilding company Fincantieri is the largest company in Europe and the fourth globally, the Italians have always been designing and building ships on behalf of third parties , these ships have to face the ocean and not just the Mediterranean basin, consequently, each project is designed for ocean operations.

写真で見るよりかなりトップヘビーですね。波穏やかな地中海勤務ならではですかね。特徴のダブルバウもそのせいかもしれませんが船には海を相手にするので地域性や国柄が出ますね。
