Happy New Year! I read The Midnight Library and didn't love it. The chart seems like it would be fun. I would probably put wrapped candies in the green jar, which is very pretty.
Great idea for the jar. I didn’t love the Midnight Library either. I’m not big on fantasy or supernatural but somehow this one was a little more palatable for me.
I love the glass jar. So cute. What you said about the story being a bit out there reminded me of Jimmy Buffet's books I read back in the day. You could see reality with being on a boat or an island but then abstract things came into play but.. it was Jimmy Buffet. LOL
Hope your husband is feeling better! I did love Midnight Library but this one does seem much more fantastical...although a similar life message. I bought that jar several months ago for use in the kitchen 😂. I love the design.
I ordered this box, but a bit too late and it didn't get shipped by New Year's Eve. I am excited to read it when it does come and I am going to try to do the challenge. I have so many books that I hope a good chunk of them fit the prompts.
I have gotten this NYE box from OUABC twice, and both times I didn't like the book. I also don't like the champagne glasses. I know people collect them, but the writing fades after the first couple washes. Then were was Matt Haig. One of the few times I DNFd a book from a OUABC book was when they did The Midnight Library, lol. So, not liking my odds for this book, I decided to skip the box. However, I always do the reading challenge, so I'm hoping to nab one of the extras they list in their website every year. The gifts did look nice for this one though.
