Our goal, from concept to design to production, was to build something That had no equal. It was to look beautiful at rest and to be powerful at work.
Boy that is a beautiful old world look with modern use in mind. I myself really enjoy the longer videos when it's real info like this. Keep up the great work.

Thank you, Monnie! This one was a lot of fun and a lot of work... I suspect the design will continue to evolve and refine as we get feedback and try to improve.
Very cool - I like it. One potential change: add an external lamp/led to show if the power is left on.

Don, good observation. We have accidentally left the prototypes on, and it can be frustrating...I guess I was trying to keep the old-school look, without having an LED that was visible enough to be useful... perhaps if it was recessed enough to be discreet when off... ?
Hardened Power - Bill, I totally understand that. I like & appreciate the old school form and function. And I’m sure the battery load is negligible with just the meter illuminated.
what's the point of stereo outputs?? given most radios only do mono out and I know for a fact that going with a 3 watt solution will only do damage to the speakers as the speakers impedance 4-8 watts @ 8 ohms
I would suggest to add more depth into the chassis so you have the option mount the antenna connections internally
Jason, the speakers are wired so the mono output from a rig is shared by both speakers. These are the same speakers we use in the Recon, the Scout, and the Commander. They work great with HAM radios. Although, since they are not amplified, they are very quiet if you use the headphone output of a phone or MP3 player...
