I completely concur with sew's view on Jackfruit. That is worse, in my opinion, than durian.
A fainting individual may be awakened by the smell and may become faint once again. 😵
Interesting. normally I would laugh, but I honestly haven't met anyone who hated fruits as much as Sew does. They should've just removed S and A coz the expectation was low. 😅
Also, I didn't know Jackfruit got smell, I love to eat it, but I never really thought it had a smell.
There are 2 almost similar fruits in that family. One is the Jackfruit (Malay: Nanka; Artocarpus Heterophyllus) and the other is Cempedak (Artocarpus Integer; there is no name for it in English). Both have about the same smell and texture although there are claims that one is more durian in texture while the other is more crunchy and fibrous.

The thing about certain fruits is that it can taste better or different closer to its seed. When it's overly ripe it also gives diff taste and texture. Example for honey melons can be tasteless if u only take the tiny bite from the outer edge but it's so much sweeter towards the inner side. I respect Sew for trying but somehow it's painful to watch. Haha.
Hey Sew, if you don't jackfruit then you should try cempedak, it's relative. You are unique in that you are a first-world occurrence.
Fun fact about pomelos to Sew, who has props from me for trying so many fruits 😂
Do not put pomelo skin (the green layer) on dogs or cats, it irritates them and is basically poison.

As a fruits hater, I feel her pain. Sew is very strong, I wouldve immediately vomit eating fruits. Ive wondered why there are challenges like “fruit/veg haters eat fruits/veg” but not “vegans eat meat and dairy”?
Seems like sew issues with fruits are the "dirty-ness" and unfamiliar taste and unpredictable texture.
On the flip side, most food has predictable textures like meat and carbs. 🤔
