Hi Jason, did you figure out if you can change the focus speed? I mean focus slowly from the foreground to the background. I can't find it in the manual. Thanks Monty
Is the lens parfocal? In other words, if you do a full zoom all the way to the subject in manual focus, will the focus hold all the way when zooming back out?
Sir, there has been a few firmware updates for the CX-350 since I purchased them. Can I download and update to the latest version without needing to update to the prior versions? Thanks for your response.
Autofocus performance on the current firmware (7.06-00-0.00 / June 9, 2022) is dismal. It took 2-3s for it to focus. By that time, the subject already left. Practically useless for any serious pro work. It's not suitable for fast-moving subjects. Slow and extra slow will be adequate. It is just awfully slow to get in focus. I read somewhere that if you shoot at higher frame rate, the auto focus will be a little faster faster. I used to own the 2011 HPX-250. That cam has much better autofocus than this. I come from all 2/3" B4 ENG, so manual focus is not a big problem for me. Granted the CX350's lens is not at all the same as a nice 2/3" B4 in terms of features & performance, but the manual focus is fairly adequate. This means at least it has some parafocal ability to remain focus when zoomed in on a subject and then zoomed out. You cannot do a 1 second super-fast servo squish zoom found on 2/3 B4 HD & UHD lens from Fujinon (HA14x4.5 for example).

Yes, I believe that is true.

Auto or manual focus?
I don't know the answer to that one!
How is the autofocus of this camera? Is it good enough for livestreaming events such as sports events, conferences, concerts etc? Thank you!
