1st. impression of S5 Coupler Lock received today. I was not paid, offered any discount or free lock in any capacity. I paid full retail for this lock and I will buy more in the future when needed.

Now fix your safty chains so that you can detach and reattach them. A thief can wrap the safty chains around their ball hitch and pull your trailer down the road to a convenient out of the way place and have their way with it...

I cut mine off,leaving five links attached to the trailer. Went to a local trailer repair place and bought two more hooks and put them on the cut off ends. The safty chains look the same on both ends now and can be clipped back to the trailer using the five links left when you cut the chains off...

How wold you detatch the safety chains? I have never heard of that

Alan Osborne cut off your safety chains but leave four or five links attached to the trailer. Add another hook to each long chain you cut off and there you go...
