Agreed. I really liked this track, mostly for the chorus, which I can admit does come out of left field compared with the heaviness of the rest of the track. I wasn't as enamored with Disruptor. I'm a huge fan of both Genexus and Demanufacture, which are rather different facets of FF. Maybe I'm just easy to please?
Big Fear Factory fan. I actually liked this one better than Disruptor wich I thought was an outstanding track. From hearing these two songs it sounds like a blend between Mechanize and Genexus. Fantastic progression of the band. Already pre-ordered this album so I'm hyped for next month. I think it's gonna be epic
And, for those who enjoy the vocals of Fear Factory. Not many people highlight this band but the singer Burton C Bell did a whole album with Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler. Check it out, band is called GZR and album is called Plastic Planet
Another one of my favorite bands over the years. Fear Factory - Machine head - Prong.... 3 bands that I always come back to. Always the kick I need \m/
"Moving forward with violent grace." Love this track and excited to see where this album lands in my ranking. Current bottom three are Soul Of A New Machine, Concrete and Transgression. Top three are Demanufacture, Mechanize and Genexus.
You didn't just put Soul of a New Machine in their bottom albums! Thats sacrilege! Also you might want to replace Mechanize with Obsolete IMO. I'm also hoping that Genexus will be hot-swapped with Aggression Continuum when it drops.
If you look at the numbers on the right arm of the visual of the factory F, it is the day that FearFactory formed. I truly believe this song is in a way Burton's farewell to the FF family and embracing his future projects. The factory will never be the same to me without him, and I've been listening since Demanufacture. Say what you will, opinions are like assholes lol. I have been slamming my ears with this album since it dropped.
During this time, i’m personally need this type of music cause this is like a serial movie. I mean, since demanufacture ff just consistenly wrote concept albums. Its kind of chapter, u cant just hear it but u must feel it how struggling human in that war against machines
TwoToeTags should try to cover this one by them selves. Only those who don't play music or can't play well, can actually be like: "meeh, this was nothing in particular, bla, bla". I mean, seriously ... ?
Stupid take is stupid. We are critics. We review things. Do you tell movie reviewers their opinion is invalid if they are unable to direct a movie? Are art critics invalid if they are not capable of making striking art pieces? Video game critics get flak because they don't have the skills to develop a videogame? See?
@@TwoToeTags Well, You have ears. And I believe that the TEMPO in this song is quite out of the ordinary. Challenging to say the least. While Disruptor is good song, it is also pure - commercial. You have just read a response from a trash/heavy metal guitarist *(32 years of playing).
@@tuxlector Oh, we don't care. Sometimes we like songs and sometimes we don't. The technicality of a song is not a deciding factor. It may help but not always. If you like it that's fine. Start your own review channel and praise it to pieces.
Holy shit, didn't know they were about to drop a new album. My favorite from them is The Industrialist, even with the drums being programmed. Album is a fucking banger. The title track is one of my favorite songs of all time
I agree that this song blows.......... Disruptor OUT OF THE WATER! XD hahah. It doesn't sound disjointed to my ears at all, it has a great flow from start to finish and has references to The Industrialist and Demanufacture, a great thing because the latter album is one of the band's Classics. Anyway, I'm very hyped for Aggression Continuum. I've already pre-ordered this, my Album of the Year, on vinyl. I know how crazy the fact I've already settled on this as my Metal Album of the Year sounds, but I've done that with all their albums going back to Mechanize. They're my favourite band and this is the final album featuring Burton on the mic, so that makes it special to me.
As an old FF fan I must disagree, this is a great song and much better than Disruptor. The contrast between the heavy and melodic parts is 100% FF and the keys give an extra point..I still miss the darker arrangements of the old albums, but this is good. Moreover, the chorus is also better than the one we listened to in Disruptor.
This one is a grower, didn't really like at first but love it now. As for being relevant, new bands like Code Orange are still trying to do what FF achieved 25 years ago so I don't know how they can sound dated.
I agree with this 100%. At first I cringed big time when the chorus kicked in on first listen as it was too uplifting / out of place with the dark verse. As you listen to it more, that cold splash of major scale water in your face becomes less uncomfortable and eventually you almost begin to crave it.
I liked it pretty much middle of the pack fear factory not amazing but not bad and I suspect how this song is perceived within the context of the album may change
I like this song much more than Disruptor. This sounds to me like The Industrialist should have sounded with actual drums and it falls well in line with their previous albums - it feels like a natural progression, IMO. But hey, if you don't like it (as much), so be it.
This track. and Disruptor, scream Demanufacture era FF to me. For me, this isn't a bad thing as I loved that album, but I can get why some people don't like it. On the same token, with Burt leaving FF, I'm kinda done with them after this album. It just won't be FF to me without Burt.
I have liked FF since 95 but i am not sure why they would put more cleans in then Burton can handle. I understand he isnt in the band any more but they didnt know that at the time.
maybe its because i know this is it for Fear factory (no burton no fear factory) but im gona disagree on this one i really liked this song alot more than the first... I do hope this is a good album!!
Wow really surprised you didn't like this one. Maybe relisten to it at some point, sometimes songs don't click at first :) (But it is of course okay to not like something)
I'm with you guys on this one. Really liked Disruptor, but this one just felt like a filler track. Kinda sucks being the 2nd release from the album, doesn't bode well for the rest of it but I'll still get it.
Listen to it again you’ll like it better the second time I wasn’t very blown away by the first time I heard it The song is bigger and better every time you hear it it’s actually very good can’t wait for the album fear factory is the shit disruptor was better though
Y'know when you're a teenager and love a band so much you say "Man, I hope they last for 30 years and never change!" Yeeeaaahh... maybe that wasn't the best thing to wish for...
This song is middling. A middling FF song. FF middling effort is probably from their infighting. Flop? Are you kidding? Flop is My World to Guns and Roses.
Awe I actually really liked this song. I'm super stoked for the album!

The best track of this album! It´s a pity Bell will never come back to the band. I wish a reunion of the four original musicians someday
