- There was just so much to do at the Barber Small Bore event I had an entire series worth of footage! In this video, I go over my highlights from the vendor area and look at the cool bikes and parts from the manufacturers who are producing some pretty cool parts for the Honda Monkey and Honda Grom

My ‘21 Monkey is 100% stock and I love it! No need for mods but I agree it’s definitely a great platform for cool tinkering if the bug hits you

1971 SL70 was my first bike. So cool seeing that in the video.
Great video, man! You took us through cool stuff and it felt natural. Too many UA-camrs seem like they're acting for a child's television show by getting overly expressive.

I havent been on a bike in 40 years, and then I ran into a video of a Monkey a few days ago.
Then I saw a price of $4200 and I about fell over. Now Im seeing all this aftermarket support, and its got me thinking...

In my school days in the 80's you had to have a MBX or MB5. One kid in school got a Aprilla RS50 from his rich aunt.

Really surprised that Honda engineers would tolerate the headlight bucket separation issue! Of all things, no? Wow.
I know. I told a Honda rep about it, but the answer was to take it to the dealer and with that, records of the issue will compile and enough issues would cause them to address the flaw
Got 2022 Monkey, front fender drop, TakegawaScrambler exhaust, tail tidy regoplate holder, Takegawa magnetic oil plug, and what’s it. Love the machine.

So I re-watched the video. It was at the TB Parts booth. I emailed them and asked about the chrome chain guard. I didn't see it on their web site.
A lot of stuff on that bike was custom, but is stuff I think they'll come out with. Shoot them an email and tell them you saw it in my video!

The Kawasaki is a KV75, two stroke. Not officially imported to the U.K. but I have sen a few at classic bike shows.

So I did email them. They do not make the chain guard. They modified an aftermarket guard for a Z50 by moving the brackets!

Might be getting a New Monkey in 2 days from Honda in West Virginia.
The Termignoni is 595$ for only the slip on, i don't think they make a header Termignoni is mostly known for aftermarket Ducati exhausts. The best looking Monkey exhaust in my opinion is the Akrapovic.
Pricey, but probably titanium also, which is where the costs come from. I personally wanted the cat gone, so a slip-on wasn’t on my radar
Indeed, getting rid of the cat greatly improves the ground clearance. I suspect this to be a quality item, Termignoni doesn't make crap. They also make beautiful carbon exhausts.
You’re 100% right! I have Termis on my Ducatis and they’re phenomenal but not really a good add-on for my ‘21 Monkey

So what size Shinko mob era were you speaking about on the monkey? We’re they the 130s? Were you able to fit rears on the front ?
Yes, 130’s will fit front and rear. On the Grom you will have to lift the fender a bit for clearance

They did! I really just focused on their Monkey considering how many things were on it! They had 18-minutes worth of bike footage alone

Do you do any riding on rough surfaces? Even though I know the two bikes that had the issue in the video most likely don’t, I see that as the propagation of the problem
@@John5XR I do some trail riding and the Seattle streets are pure hell on the stock suspension.

I think Steady Garage might offer them. Otherwise, your local Honda dealer might be able to import them. They’re OEM parts everywhere else in the world
If I remove factory air intake and install MNNTBX intake, do I have to flash ECU? Or can I not touch ECU? Thanks

Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham Alabama. It's actually happening this weekend. Sadly my busy family schedule has kept me from going back, but it's a fantastic event!

Definitely going Dax! I grew up with a 1970 Honda Trail 70 (US version of the Dax) and still have it, so that’s the nostalgia Honda trail bike I wanted Honda to reproduce all along! Just waiting for it to come here…

Well, there was nothing to really change it with, or in my case, I love the OEM headlight and didn’t want to change it. I did figure out a fix however, it’s was back around early summer last year. If you search “monkey headlight fix” you should find it in my channel
Funny how only half the bike is original, customized but can't loctite two little screws lol.

Those LED turn signals on the new Monkey are too dam small. Aesthetically speaking, they are not in proportion with the rest of the bike's body design.
