Great video, man! You took us through cool stuff and it felt natural. Too many UA-camrs seem like they're acting for a child's television show by getting overly expressive.
I havent been on a bike in 40 years, and then I ran into a video of a Monkey a few days ago. Then I saw a price of $4200 and I about fell over. Now Im seeing all this aftermarket support, and its got me thinking...
Got 2022 Monkey, front fender drop, TakegawaScrambler exhaust, tail tidy regoplate holder, Takegawa magnetic oil plug, and what’s it. Love the machine.
I know. I told a Honda rep about it, but the answer was to take it to the dealer and with that, records of the issue will compile and enough issues would cause them to address the flaw
Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham Alabama. It's actually happening this weekend. Sadly my busy family schedule has kept me from going back, but it's a fantastic event!
Do you do any riding on rough surfaces? Even though I know the two bikes that had the issue in the video most likely don’t, I see that as the propagation of the problem
I think Steady Garage might offer them. Otherwise, your local Honda dealer might be able to import them. They’re OEM parts everywhere else in the world
The Termignoni is 595$ for only the slip on, i don't think they make a header Termignoni is mostly known for aftermarket Ducati exhausts. The best looking Monkey exhaust in my opinion is the Akrapovic.
Indeed, getting rid of the cat greatly improves the ground clearance. I suspect this to be a quality item, Termignoni doesn't make crap. They also make beautiful carbon exhausts.
Definitely going Dax! I grew up with a 1970 Honda Trail 70 (US version of the Dax) and still have it, so that’s the nostalgia Honda trail bike I wanted Honda to reproduce all along! Just waiting for it to come here…
Honda C-90 ? He's definitely not filming this in the 🇺🇸. Sometimes I wonder how we got the Cub and Monkey. Must be sheer luck and dark magic.🤞 I saw a lot of things here but I failed to notice anyone wearing a 4V head or the crazy Desmo one.
Hi. How come you and so many owners with same headlight problem don't change it, surely there must be a similar one out there? Subbed btw, i enjoy your vids.
Well, there was nothing to really change it with, or in my case, I love the OEM headlight and didn’t want to change it. I did figure out a fix however, it’s was back around early summer last year. If you search “monkey headlight fix” you should find it in my channel
Those LED turn signals on the new Monkey are too dam small. Aesthetically speaking, they are not in proportion with the rest of the bike's body design.
Me either, but if I have the opportunity to make some cash from all the work and effort these videos take, I’m crazy for not taking advantage of that. Right?
John, I rewatched this. Monkey fever is in force! I'll keep you posted.
1971 SL70 was my first bike. So cool seeing that in the video.
Nice video. Thanks for showing this cool beautyful bikes. I love these monkeys with this modifications. Wow
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for showing off everything! Very cool. Happy Tuesday.
Certainly! SO many cool things coming from these great brands, it's a great time to be a Monkey owner that wants to mod 🤩
Love those handlebars!

Great feedback! This was my first type of video in this format, so I definitely want to hear what was good and bad for future videos 👍👍

❤😅
Awesome bikes and goodies
Yes indeed
The amount of bolt on stuff is amazing.
I really need to get me a monkey.
Call it the TRUNK MONKEY !!!! 🐒
My ‘21 Monkey is 100% stock and I love it! No need for mods but I agree it’s definitely a great platform for cool tinkering if the bug hits you

Don’t think, just do 🙂

Good stuff!
My 72 cl450 has the same headlight problem :) love to see your collection sir
Well if Honda has been building headlights that split for that long, fat chance they’ll fix it today! Lol
So I re-watched the video. It was at the TB Parts booth. I emailed them and asked about the chrome chain guard. I didn't see it on their web site.
A lot of stuff on that bike was custom, but is stuff I think they'll come out with. Shoot them an email and tell them you saw it in my video!
Thank you
Thanks for showing all the goods. You're a great help.
Happy to help! I was excited to see it all myself too (and wanted that Yoshi system for my Grom something serious...lol)
In my school days in the 80's you had to have a MBX or MB5. One kid in school got a Aprilla RS50 from his rich aunt.
The Kawasaki is a KV75, two stroke. Not officially imported to the U.K. but I have sen a few at classic bike shows.
I dig it!
Very rare. I have one. Much faster than A CT70.
So what size Shinko mob era were you speaking about on the monkey? We’re they the 130s? Were you able to fit rears on the front ?
Yes, 130’s will fit front and rear. On the Grom you will have to lift the fender a bit for clearance
Might be getting a New Monkey in 2 days from Honda in West Virginia.
From all your experience do you think the Honda DAX is coming to the USA ?
Looking to buy Monkeys for the wife and I. Would be cool to see this event in Colorado.
Two Monkeys are better than one! Enjoy!
Good video! Thanks for showing us around.
Thanks! It was a great event and great year for the Monkey as it's still new and hot, mark your calendar next year!!
Nice!
Pleasure meeting you guys finally! Love the new insert and will be filming the follow-up video very soon👌
@@John5XR Ditto!
Really surprised that Honda engineers would tolerate the headlight bucket separation issue! Of all things, no? Wow.
I know. I told a Honda rep about it, but the answer was to take it to the dealer and with that, records of the issue will compile and enough issues would cause them to address the flaw
where was this at? I'd love to attend that event.
Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham Alabama. It's actually happening this weekend. Sadly my busy family schedule has kept me from going back, but it's a fantastic event!
So I did email them. They do not make the chain guard. They modified an aftermarket guard for a Z50 by moving the brackets!
Oh wow!
I don't have that headlight problem, yet.
Do you do any riding on rough surfaces? Even though I know the two bikes that had the issue in the video most likely don’t, I see that as the propagation of the problem
@@John5XR I do some trail riding and the Seattle streets are pure hell on the stock suspension.
You must have a good one! Hopefully it doesn’t show up for you
Do you know what the bellows are and where to find them?
TB Parts would be the ones to ask about this as that was their project bike. I'm not sure myself
10:07...the original foldable handlebars...
Just that these new ones don't fold, so...
That would be cool! More room for transport & storage.
Do you were I can buy the euro tailight and side markers
I think Steady Garage might offer them. Otherwise, your local Honda dealer might be able to import them. They’re OEM parts everywhere else in the world

Pricey, but probably titanium also, which is where the costs come from. I personally wanted the cat gone, so a slip-on wasn’t on my radar
Indeed, getting rid of the cat greatly improves the ground clearance. I suspect this to be a quality item, Termignoni doesn't make crap. They also make beautiful carbon exhausts.
You’re 100% right! I have Termis on my Ducatis and they’re phenomenal but not really a good add-on for my ‘21 Monkey
Who makes the chrome chain cover for the Monkey?
Not sure, what booth was it at?
Damn Steady Garage had a bunch of awesome bikes you skipped over
They did! I really just focused on their Monkey considering how many things were on it! They had 18-minutes worth of bike footage alone
The euro tail is not legal here in us. You know that? Right?
If I remove factory air intake and install MNNTBX intake, do I have to flash ECU? Or can I not touch ECU? Thanks
Shedding tears for my impounded mb5 rn
Great video/ commentary , really enjoyed the tour , hope your going to film this year’s event ?
Hi John 😊 Will you be going ‘DAX’ or staying ‘Monkey’ 🐵 I’ve just got a DAX - superb ! 🇬🇧
Definitely going Dax! I grew up with a 1970 Honda Trail 70 (US version of the Dax) and still have it, so that’s the nostalgia Honda trail bike I wanted Honda to reproduce all along! Just waiting for it to come here…
🏍️💨💯🐒💖
What happen to the Honda forza
yaay to you, couldn't resist seeing that 999 likes, lemme make it to 1K for you good sir!

Funny how only half the bike is original, customized but can't loctite two little screws lol.
Why do they call man in the box
One would have to assume a appreciation for the band Alice In Chains, who have a song titled “man in the box”
@@John5XR if I remember correctly, when they started the company the website pretty much alluded to that.
Most things are about money now , not fun, a little bit of fun and a lot of money
Everything is expensive, including hobbies. Have you seen the $5k Giant electric bicycles?
I have my monkey all original
Link this stuff that’s coming out please you will probably get a commission!
Those LED turn signals on the new Monkey are too dam small. Aesthetically speaking, they are not in proportion with the rest of the bike's body design.
🤷🏼♂️
The monkey needs a bigger engine and better suspension from factory
Yoshimura are okay but, Akrapovic makes a better pipe.
I didn’t like your adds!👎
Me either, but if I have the opportunity to make some cash from all the work and effort these videos take, I’m crazy for not taking advantage of that. Right?
@@John5XR it’s amazing how many people don’t understand the concept of potentially making money.
That, and it doesn’t matter anymore anyways because UA-cam runs ad’s on all channels now regardless of if they’re monetized 🤷🏼♂️
Shinko are awful tires. Chinese made crap. Might as well be called shito. Now, the man in the box stuff..
I disagree. That hasn't been my experience at all but I probably ride harder than most.
Yoshi pipe? Kinda ugly.
2:30 Very ugly tail light for the US new cub 125, here in Greece the europe version has much better and beautiful taillight !!!!
