My purpose is to spread the message of hope. I’m a recovering addict, and I have lost too many people that I love to drugs. I live my life as an extension of theirs. I do a journal prompt similar to one of your questions! I wrote my eulogy as I would like to be remembered - what I want my lasting memory to be. Then I compared where my life is currently to help me redirect myself.
You don't get to choose your purpose. The need for a life worth living comes from deep inside our human nature. And the question always manifests itself as "why are we here on this planet?" or "what was I meant to do?" or "what am I supposed to do?" These questions presuppose God and cannot be answered outside of a reference to God. If we ignore God, then we're going to try to substitute praise, both self praise and the praise of others, that will give a fleeting feeling of worth but without the reality.
@@MichaelSimone I assume as true that God has put the need for purpose in us to encourage us to seek Him. To seek Him, to come to know and love Him as our Creator. To find our worth as any child finds worth; merely by being loved by the Father.
My purpose is to help people, to educate them in some type of way.
Love it! Thanks for being here :)

Thanks for your comment Matthew! How would you answer these questions then from your perspective?
