You never realize how many farming simulator RPGs exist until you watch a Nintendo Direct
Knowing gamers, they'll get more out of a farming sim than they would playing God of War. Afterall look at playtime for Animal Crossing vs Cyberpunk. Big budget action games tend to fall off in popularity since they don't have as much to do.
So technically speaking, Minecraft is partially a farming game. And we have Minecraft in Smash. So technically speaking, we have a farming game in Smash. Very cool of you Nintendo, to include such an under-represented genre in Smash Bros. I look forward to seeing Grandpa's Bed from Stardew Valley in Smash 2.
I usually do. I'm not into movie games. Rune Factory alone will take a lot of my time.
@@StevenTLawson But both Animal Crossing and Cyberpunk sold for sixty bucks. Like, it technically doesn't matter how long people play it for, people will apparently play the same regardless of expected gametime. Anyway if you want best dollar for time spent value, you should play Dwarf Fortress lol. Or like, rimworld, Civ, ADOM maybe.
@@StevenTLawson it's a difference of playing a game for an amazing experience that may last just a few hours vs a daily time waster and alternate life. I personally hate the simulation type games. I want stories, emotions, and challenging gameplay, not a neverending easy going life sim where you just collect stuff endlessly. Not dissing anyone who likes those games, it's just not my thing. I could get 8-12 hours of enjoyment from a new single player game, or no enjoyment from a farming sim. And I've put a few hundred hours into skyrim, and elden ring, and red dead 2. Far more worthwhile than a sim for me. So many hours in tekken, and in grand strategy games. Just because you can play animal crossing til you die doesn't make it worthwhile or enjoyable for me or everyone. It would be a waste of my money, but it's the only video game my mom and sisters like.
