- When trying to get a nice set of AT tires on my ne Dacia Duster 4x4 I discovered a big problem that the Duster has with the ET50 steel rims on the rear axle (if you have brake disks on the rear). Thank you for your time!

Nice car bro but you ruined the look of the car with those rims. Get some black alloy wheels that come close to the original style. There are quite a few 16" rims that are strong enough, even aluminum ones. The design of the car is such that it does not look good on steel.
They are the best for my use so don’t worry. It will get the job done 💪😅
Why? For offroading nobody cares about the looks of your rims, they get scratched and dinged. Steel rims can be hammered back in shape if necessary.
To my opinion, offroad rims must be practical in the first place.
@@eliasloozen7948 everyone does what they like with their car, I'm just expressing an opinion. I also have a duster and so far I have never bent a rim while off-roading (it's not a hardcore off-road machine though). The car has a nice design, I would even say it looks very cool the new model and those steel rims don't suit it in my opinion. The most important thing is that the owner likes it and has many good moments and adventures with the new car 👍
@@eliasloozen7948 If it is about look you always can certainly argue. But I never exprienced any heavy damage on modern alloy rims that has to be "hammered out"😵💫. This might or might not happen if you go for heavy rock climbing which is not the terrain for our Duster.
Keep in mind that this steel wheels have a much worser air flow thus less brake cooling! Makes a difference.
In addition if mud build up on the inner side of the rims you get a heavy unbalance which can reduce your max street speed to 60 km/h. Now try to clean this "wounderful" steel rims with no access from the outside.

Exactly. Depending on the at tires , of course.
To nie ma prawa pasować, bo rozmiar et w nowej dd3 to et 32 !!! Dlatego opony ocierają o elementy zawieszenia i wygłuszenia...
It does not have proper rust protection. -> right side after shock absorber. Is it just painted?

What is the original offset of the stock rims? Is it different between front and rear wheels?
The original roms ofset is 39. On all 4 rims

the more you show the more this car is a disappointment, i was hoping to put 225 / 75 R 16 like in my old duster without major modifications, ( Just springs that lift 30 mm to 35 mm ) but i think won't gonna happens in the new one . in your case i prefered to cut the plastic i don't like spacers since my dad had an accident in is 4x4 yearas ago because the spacers broke in mid track , i don't fell it is safe to use but i can be wrong.

WHOA.. How come on rear wheels there are disc brakes? I thought there were supposed to be drum brakes - at least at our retailor all versions are with drum brakes. Are there other versions as well? Does this problem happen only on models with disc brakes, models with drum brakes should be OK?
Slovakia case - Duster Extreme - if You have electronic parking brake (pack Techno, surcharge 550 EUR), You will obtain disc brakes. Otherwise You will have only drums. But trim Journey has electronic parking brake and disc brakes in standard without surcharge.
Exactly. Brake disks for electric parking brake, drums for manual brake .
ET45 is not enough on the rear wheels?
No. It should be ET 20 or less of you want the tires far enough from the plastic covers.
The new duster seems to have lost its masculine, aggressive look. Now looks more like any other girly-city crossover. It even looks weird on AT tires. Not sure, it's what duster enthusiasts expected?!
Clearly not, I think the opposite is the case. The geometrys are much sharper, more cuts and edges - this is what I call masculine. The old dusters are very round and soft in geoemetry, also the front is much bigger in the new duster, this is very "bull-like". The new one looks just badass.

This new duster looks much more robust with steel wheels than with aluminum ones.
If the tyres protrude outside the wheel arches it will not be road legal

AWD cars require all 4 rims and tires to be the same. Id drive the lowest km u can with them.
If the rims have the same size than it shouldn’t be a problem
