Hello Nina, I’m new here. I came across your page in my newsfeed, so happy I did. You were actually showing how to make Jollof rice. Thank you. Sis I’m here to stay, I love Egusi soup so much and need to learn how to prepare myself, so thank you so much for this step by step tutorial, I appreciate it. I’ve got my bell on , truly love your contents and hope we can stay connected. I can just taste this. I you don’t do a lot of salt. I hope I’ll be able to find all these ingredients. Well one man's food is another man's poison, in as much as it is not exactly the way Owerri people cook thier ofe Owerri but this is much simplified and I like it. I will try it. I find it difficult to use cocoyam as thickner , it h turn out well when I use it , it is either it's too thick or it's too watery.

They sell it in the local market if you are in Nigeria, just ask for cocoyam flour. However if you are outside Nigeria, you may also find it in the stores that sell Nigerian food items.

Ofor is a soup thickener that is made from Ofor seed, which comes from detarium microcarpum tree. It's very popular among the South Eastern Nigerians (Igbos and Rivers State), and features as a popular recipe ingredient for Oha, Bitter-leaf, Uziza and Ofor soups.
