Question for you/community about the movement in New World .... when walking/running forward does your mouse control your turning from left to right and then when sat still does it then snap in to free cam mode!?!? Really want to get into this game I'm a rookie PC gamer coming from console hope that made sense... #pleaseandthankyou
Well, the movement on PC, mouse/keyboard compared to console, controller is a little bit different. I have many years of gaming experience on PC and when talking about character movement and then camera movement around the character I use a combination of both keyboard and mouse. I mean for example I can press not just W to move forwards, but W and D at the same time to kinda move at an angle. But then I combine this to moving my mouse. This is how I can create those, you could say cinematic movements, when it appears that the character is moving forwards but the camera is on his right side, and you can see him like he is turning right or going in circles but actually moving forwards
You can't do this with all of the games though, but you will get used to it. When you will start playing, after some time you will get used to it. This comes with practice. And you will be able to create smooth movement as well. I learned to use this mainly from GTA when driving and turning corners. I always turn my camera first with the mouse so I can see around the corner and then turn the vehicle as well, and easily during the corner I move my mouse so when the car has finished turning, the camera ends up right behind the car so I can see ahead

I'll be on keyboard and mouse ... just wanna make sure if I'm holding "W" and moving forward and I want to turn left and move my mouse to the left my character and crosshairs will move/look to the left and vise versa to the right ..... idk if you ever played Staw wars the old republic in that game you had to press and hold the mouse button to move to the camera so your character would move in said direction and was such a pain I'd just like to look in a direction with my mouse and my character moves/looks/goes in that directions :) hahaha thank you!!!
