- Learning the basic moves. Trying to get my husband to learn as well. But he isn’t feeling this yet. Hopefully my video will help encourage him to continue

Outstanding video. What is the signal the leader uses to lead the follower into the crossover step in the basic 8 count ?
I spoke too soon. Now I see the signal for both the crossover step and the crossover step that is involved in the transition move. Thank you so much.

Where does he teach stepping classes at?
Unfortunately funding wasn’t provided this year. Hoping it will start again in April. I’m so disappointed but thank goodness I made this video. If it returns I’ll post video and location

Charlotte NC in Huntersville Arts and cultural center. However currently no classes are being offered due to lack of funding. Hoping it will return soon 😀

I like the size of the building and it seems that they had a good selection of Chicago stepping instructors. I hope you find another place to enjoy learning how to step. I’ve seen that have developed from your 1st posted stepping video. Soon you won’t need an instructor. I think that Saint Louis Ballroom dancing is another dance that you might add to your dancing skills as well. It’s very similar to Chicago stepping. You and your husband will enjoy both and as with Chicago stepping , you dance to the same music. I’ve actually learned them both and l do them on skates.
Check out Saint Louis Ballroom Skating on UA-cam. In all of your dancing, aways count because you as the woman hold the beat. Try stepping in front of a mirror and watch some of the female instructors moves. Imitation is the best way to learn from an experience instructor and soon mix your own style with theirs…,, before you know it. Your own style will emerge. Peace and blessings to you and your family.

@@tapskill3 wow thank you so much for sharing. I will look up St. Louis dancing as well. I’ve been out of practice for awhile. Plan to get back to it real soon 😀. My husband refuse to learn this dance. I’m lucky if he would do Detroit ballroom or Graystone. So far no luck with either. I think as long as I continue to go he will join me. 😀
