Visited the museum in 2017...magical and whimsical and awesome, and it's great value for money...wish we could've spent a lot more time there. Hopefully get back again another time.
Nothing makes me happier than to see a notification bell pop up for a new Hearthwitch Video. It's a rainy, stormy, gloomy day here in NYC. Making an ice coffee and settling in to be transported to a Magikal Adventure with Hearth. ✨💫
I saw a video about the museum a few years ago and loved that little mirror. About a month after, my son's dad who sometimes works at a scrapyard, came home with one saying I found this and thought you'd like it. I had never mentioned it to him. Mad😂lovely video. Subbed immediately ❤
Luv this museum, I live a few miles away and always pop in if I'm heading Boscastle. Lovely collection of interesting items and information. We were Lucky enough to find an item in our cob walls when cutting out a new doorway. Will leave it in my will for my kids to keep, it or give to the museum. Great to support places like this, so few and far between, a lifetime's work in that place.
So many things you said remind me of myself! We even look similar! I thought the museum is very interesting and I would LOVE to be able to visit one day. Thank you for showing me this very interesting place! 😊🤍 Love, from Canada! 🇨🇦
What a great video, my wife and myself would love to visit. We aren't Pagan or ''Witchy people', but we do love British history and folklore, of which witches and witchcraft is a part of. My favourite book about the subject is called 'Witch, Wicce, Mother Goose' by Robert W. Thurston, I couldn't put it down when I started reading it, and it's the only other book (The Lord Of The Rings being the other) that I have re-read several times. I can highly recommend it!!
I have been thee and it is so beautiful. My entire reason to go to Cornwell was to visit the museum and I live in Australia. I camped in Tintagel and I walked over and looked over the ocean.
I've been there a few times over the years and I love it. The staff and volunteers are lovely people. There's always something new and there's lots of information
The village witch is a great book, you should definitely get down to west Cornwall, so many places of interest as well as the festivals. Montol is my favourite in Penzance. Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday! I'm so happy you posted so much footage. I first heard about the museum from a school teacher i had in the 6th grade in Texas back in the 90's. I was talking to her about being a witch and she told me about how she had visited the museum and she said i would probably love it. I've always had it in the back of my mind as a place id like to visit, but i am unable to travel, so this video is a bit of a small dream come true. I appreciate it more than you know! Thank you!
I was most interested to listen to your experience of the visit to the museum. When I was twelve, I am now 70, we had a family holiday at Cornwall. We visited that museum, I was very interested and excited to see the exhibits but gradually I became uneasy until I just had to go outside. It wasn't laid out as creatively as it is now and there were probably less exhibits. There wasn't a shop that I can remember. The macabre feeling lingered with me for days after the visit. Even now, I can recall that stark feeling. All of the items in the museum have been used for magic and I would say are still charged for their magical purposes to this day. They emit vibrations and therefore the museum is not an ordinary museum.
If your instincts tell you to leave you should listen to them & go. They might be protecting you from something you shouldn't be exposed too. I've investigated things before but something just tells me I personally should be doing such things. I suspect my aunt & mom attracted something's attention in the past. So I just don't do anything & just enjoy the virtual visit here. It's all fascinating. I'd love to go here & spend the day just looking at the exhibits.
@@Nirrrina Thank you for your response. Yes, your absolutely right, get out and away as fast as possible. Cornwall is a very atmospheric place, you'd find it most interesting.
I’m so in love with Hare Lady. She’s one of my favorites from the vlog. I’d love to go to the museum and will put it on my list if I’m ever able to make it across the pond.
It's so lovely! I need to go one day. When I saw the Hare Lady figurine I was immediately like "not bringing anything that FERTILE to my childfree home" :D
Happy birthday!!! I’m not in England and hadn’t heard about this museum. I already wanted to visit England, and now this museum is on my must-visit list for the future. Thank you! 🖤
i visited the area a couple summers ago, having heard about the museum but not knowing it was in boscastle. ended up in the town on a whim and having already fell in love with the place, i was soooo happy to turn the corner and find the museum hidden there! it just made so much sense, i swear ive never felt a more magickal place! been trying to save up to take the trip back there as i didnt get to actually go into the museum at the time, so your video is spurring me on to keep saving!!!!
It was so nice to meet you outside the museum, you are just as lovely in person as you are in your videos. I didn't realise it was your Birthday so glad you had a nice time. I only live about an hour and a half away from Boscastle but it was my first time going to the museum.
You are my favorite witch to watch on UA-cam! I read some books on traditional witchcraft last year and was curious about the museum. Thanks so much for providing some footage! I live in the US, so it'd be hard to schedule a trip.
I work with the Horned One and was startled to see that the statue of him in that museum is precisely how he has appeared to me in my meditations 😮I might've caught a glimpse of it in the internet and gotten it into my subconscious that way, but who knows.. I'm really impressed by this exhibition!! I wish I could visit someday myself!
What a cool museum ❤. The prices sound like a great value, and the exhibits looked awesome from what I could see. I usually go to museums by myself because I read EVERYTHING and take forever. Thank you for sharing this trip with us ❤
It's been on my list to visit for ages, but still haven't made it yet to the Museum or Kernow/Cornwall. Cassandra Latham's book however I have read several times, it is a favourite and very relatable. Nice video ❤
Cassandra's book is excellent. You might like to take a look at "Be Careful what you Wish For" by Laetitia Latham-Jones; I highly recommend both of them. Cornwall is indeed a magical place.
That definitely would be an amazing birthday gift for yourself. I would so love to go over and see this museum. I wish I would’ve known when I was living over in Ireland and I visited Scotland for six months.. Thank you for the great video.
I’ve always thought you are amazing! But you always surprise me with so much information and are so knowledgeable! I love your videos 🥰 please keep making them. You have taught me so much. Thank you💜💜💜
I can't wait to see the upcoming videos! I have been to Tintagel (LOVED it!) and Glastonbury (loved, loved, loved it!). Cornwall is a beautiful and spiritual place, I want to go back some day.
Thank you for taking us along! I loved it and wish to see it in person. I think I could spend a day there myself. Love that book too and will see if I can find it. I went to the witch's museum in Salem mass but it was nothing like this .fantastic!
I went there last year. Both I and my friend got a really bad headache when passing by some of the artefacts in the cabinets upstairs. Some of the things in there are very powerful but the amount of things they have in there is amazing! Definitely worth the visit
Thanks for the updated tour. I last went to the museum probably back in 2002, before the big Boscastle Flood which threatened to wash away the museum and unfortunately caused much devastation to the harbour area. So lovely to see the museum restored. I hope to revisit again in the near future as I now live across the other side of the country. I’ve also now purchased the Village Witch book and a few other things from their online shop. I highly recommend a look but maybe lock up your wallet first. Boscastle is a magical place and I cannot wait to return.
Thank you for sharing this amazing place, I love Boscastle, I try to go every year. Every time I’ve been there has been some kind of changes to the exhibitions, so every time is a new experience. There is a lovely coastal walk to Tintagel and a hidden church called Minister Church where a witch is buried. I would highly recommend making the trip to this amazing and magical part of the country.
Visited this museum around10 years ago and loved it. I’m sure that the museum flooded a few years ago when Boscastle had a huge flood so it’s fab to see it’s up and running. Loved this video. Thanks chicki xx

Happy Birthday, Hearth, and thanks for this great video! Living in the US as I do, I had never heard of this museum before and there's really no chance that I will ever see it in person, so your video was super interesting to me! I am really looking forward to seeing your review of "Village Witch" and may even buy it myself! Also, I always enjoy the bloopers at the end of each episode!
