Absolute madness this track is...i don't understand Malayalam...but the progression is very south raga based and with the infusion of the violin gets deeper...wtf the vocals is mesmerising...killer and impounding metal at the same end...
Brilliant stuff @ 1:23 , you will see a super shot where she sees a white lady in the background, that is she is herself in the background, that is she resisting her past. Also tempo and music is absolute DOPE.
Maybe after few years, someone(not malayali) may be 'inspired' to make a whole movie out of this theme and may 'sample' the whole music and rearrange using different instruments and still get huge applause, thereby showing this beautiful creation as inferior. Great work TB, wishing all the best for good promotions so that any 'sampled' music/theme from any of your creations will be found out at the earliest and rerouted to TB.
Carnatic music can inspire everyone , your ' not malayali' comment is preposterous 🤣 save your possessiveness to yourself 🤣 your thaikudum bridge has not given enough credit to many legends, basically get your facts right. Every state and language has its own beauty and folklore, do your research and comment FYI - court has dismissed your 'inspired case' because kanakangi raga belongs to everyone and thaikudum bridge has not invented it.
@@sharadaragu7906 First of all, u judged me completely wrong about 'not malayali' thing. Do you know which all places I lived? Am I a malayali? Confirm it and then talk about possessiveness other than criticising me after seeing a random positive comment in support of a great band's channel. Lol, malayalees will be the first one to brutally criticise and tear apart another malayali if any sort of plagiarism happends. I know that and hence clearly specified as 'not malayali' in my previous comment. Not 'possessiveness'. Till now, I have not commented against any musicians in any social media platforms highlighting plagiarism, like lot of people are doing right now. I have watched a movie, in which one song was 70 percent sampled from TB's Navarasam, structural copy etc but I really enjoyed that song too with goosebumps! In the same movie there is another song which was sampled from Apsara aali and used great singers like Ananya Bhatt, Vijay Prakash. An Ideal Music director should not be a manager who samples from something and rearrange using another resources. That gives a wrong message that music content will be shrinked in future and only remakes or remixes will be suitable. There are infinite possibilities of creation from the basics! So my point is, support original creators whoever they are. With increase in technological advances, one can manage to pull off good songs that can do far good than the original content. If you had completely read my comment, you could have understood the content. The content was just MY HUMBLE ADVICE TO TB and is applicable to any content creator! I don't have time to reach everyone. As a listener, when there is time, I love hearing all type of songs irrespective of language and enjoy it even if it's sampled or copied. So that's another thing. Dear friend, forgive me if my comment made you feel bad. Also, there will be no more reply to you as I think you are a highly knowledgeable person who doesn't need it and I am nothing in this vast Universe! God bless all.
I dont think any sensible person would say Navarasam is inferior to Varaha Roopam ... I personally was so impressed with Navarasam, the song; the story; the emotions -- it was mind blowing ... Even in kannada subreddits I noticed many people praising Navarasam and siding with TB ....
@@satbalak Exactly dear friend. Btw, the navarasam vs varaha roopam case is with the honourable Supreme court. 5 years before kantara, the great musician AR Rahman shared TBs Navarasam on public platform. But why on earth are the film makers following a pattern rather than creating it. No doubt Kantara is a great movie and the acting skills of the director was brilliant. Navarasam is a densily packed creative brilliance of TB. Just few minutes of navarasam song had lots of brilliant stuff. Just some points to note. 1)Disappearance of Kathakali artists in the navarasm video had 'inspired' kantara film makers and they used it more than once in kantara movie. 2)Lot of people are defending music director about kanakaangi raga. What should I say... Why did he followed the pattern, structure etc. of navarasam song in the first place to make doubts in even foreign listeners about a possibly copy or sampling. 3)In the beginning, both songs have solo instruments in the form of violin in navarasam and nadaswaram in varaha song. Also Note that some part of music is sampled in these phase just before rock. After solo, both has rock. Then mixture of rock and first instrument. And see in the middle electric guitar usage tremendously. 4)some instrumental notes in navarasam is sampled and made as vocal in Varaharoopam like 'papamagarisa magarisa' etc.. Note that navarasam used chenda etc and more instruments. 5)The minute rock beats while children running in navarasam is also inspired to create bgm in kantara. 6) Hear Apsara aali song. Other song in kantara sampled the former. So Even after so many 'inspirations' All TB is asking for is just credits. But at least after huge success of the movie, the kantara film makers could have solved this without a sweat. I repeat Varaha roopam song is a masterpiece clearly inspired/sampled from densily packed masterpiece of TB's Navarasam song. Let the disputes settle and let everyone wins.
I'm in awe ! Never thought of Kalliyankatt Neeli as the feminine power she is. Thanks to TB for such an amazing work. And Simran Sivakumar ... You are amazing!
Thaikkudam Bridge never lets us down with their music. The moment they announced the release of this track, I was super excited to see and now, I'm amazed. What a creation! The craft of storytelling, the actors featured, the vocals... Such raw and fierce! 💯✨🔥
~ A very recent Fan of TB and I must say I have not come across any of their songs not being good, all are amazing and this one here is a masterpiece, the eerie tunes and riffs, on Guitar as well as the Violin and later on in the song the Screams and Growls with the heavy Drums and Distortion guitar. Man oh Man, there couldn't be a better video and the cinematography is so spine chilling, the last smirk of the woman's reflection in the mirror raises the little hair on my neck and I am not someone who's scared of horror visuals and movies. I don't have any double thoughts on calling this the best produced Rock and Carnatic Music Fusion video song in India ❤ Much much Love to Thaikuddam Bridge - Please don't ever stop making music ~
Wowwwwwww... Super performance.. Simran is a talented actress too.. Very nice.. Excellent dance, what an energy... Apt make up.. Lighting... Superb👏👏👏👏👏
*Terrific* in one word! Choreography at its epitome. Simply outstanding and it's a one woman show by Simran Sivakumar. I got terrified by the scream and Simi's expression (totally ghostly looks).Cinematography is brilliant with its lighting. Editing is crisp. Music doesn't need any extra appreciation as it's by one and only Thaikkudam Bridge. Simran Sivakumar deserves a standing ovation! Kudos Simi! Many more to come 💖👍🏻

First things first - The entire visual mood creation was brilliant, and the intense story telling + outstanding performance (especially when the song shifts to higher level) and about music it's "THAIKUDAM" name is enough. You dropped a Masterpiece brother's. And i am proud that my friend Yadav Shashidhar is the associate director💙💫.
