- In this episode of the 1950's sitcom "Mr. Adams and Eve," starring Ida Lupino and Howard Duff as husband-and-wife movie stars, Eve wins an Oscar on the same night that Howard loses his and then they both have to be interviewed together on a spoof of "Person to Person". Guest appearance by columnist Sheilah Graham.
Really holds up well. Love Ida Lupino
Howard Duff should have been in a whole lot more movies and tv. He handles roles in such a nice natural way. I'll bet he is easy going in real life.
Deft comedy duo. Enjoyable to watch. They were made for each other!

Lupino and Duff are wonderful together. Their comedic timing was perfection. I am certain if they did a full length movie, it would have been a hit. I've always liked Duff and Ms. Lupino is one I could not figure out. Now, after seeing this short, I appreciate them both and will view and reflect on their works with new eyes. BRAVO to Lupino and Duff.
At about 10:56 the moderator empties his pipe by tapping it several times on the ashtray next to him. I’ve got to think that was an intentional play on Ida Lupino’s 1941 film ‘Ladies In Retirement’. If you’ve seen the film you know exactly what I’m talking about. Ida was terrific as Ellen Creed. 🎦

I had no idea Duff did humour so well-- of course Ida was as brilliant at comedy as she was at drama-- the film and tv award officials should have been shot for treating her so shabbily.
Duff is pretty hilarious in the old Adventures of Sam Spade radio show : )

I thought Ida had a great sense of comedic timing, I don't care what anyone says. And Duff was a total hunk. ;)
Jaymes Guy Ida could do it all and she was beautiful.
Kind of anticipated Dick and Liz.
