2000 should have been Kirsty's year. She reinvented herself to a Latin American style of music, but still with that lovely singing voice of hers. Should have done Glastonbury that year but sadly no-one had a crystal ball. Tragically she never saw 2000 out.
Yes Kirsty at Glastonbury 2000. She would have been fabulous on the World Stage. Sheer genius. I am thinking of how Kirsty would have felt Headlining the festival. What a coup. Its so shocking and no closure on this horrible tragedy. What is wrong with people. The whole case should be re examined in the light of todays open society⚖️
there are a few - and too few- coasts where machos are not allowed to dominate the waters with their power boats. they should be highlighted in silly lonely traveller as "Kirsty beaches" and, hopefully, there may be more control but i doubt it. money talks.
bless her she sounded good live but maybe a new England was too high for her by 2000 or the fast tempo was too quick, she appears to be struggling on some of the notes. They sound ok but she looks like its not effortless anymore or she is getting nervous or something (maybe her stage fright.) . She seems to enjoy the other songs more and look more relaxed. walking down madison is lower and it seems she was enjoying it more and finding it easier to sing.

One of my best concerts was watching Kirsty in Manchester for the Galore tour. Think it was 1995 and I was 19 at the time. Had been a fan for a few years. Met her brother once at an Eddi Reader promo set too. Asked what she was up to and he said she was doing great and working on new music (Tropical Brainstorm). Forever missed.
