Just heard this song for the first time today. Love it. I was diagnosed with severe depression 3 years ago and was in an awful place and came close to death on numerous occasions but thankfully got the help that I needed and now living life to the fullest again. It's been about a year since i have heard it. It still is a very moving song as i sing it to my baby girl that is almost 2 and was born on my dads birthday 9 months after he died. My husband, his friend and I walked into little a bar in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, circa 1992, and there was Zaak Wylde sitting at the keyboard doing a solo show. The bar had some people in it, but by no means crowded. We stood right in front of him. I really didn't even know who he was, but I knew I was in love with this man's music. I couldn't believe we got so lucky as to stumble across this amazing fate. After about 20 minutes, my husband's friend says, "I gotta go home. I gotta work in the morning." WHAAAATTTTT????? I couldn't fucking believe it! WE HAD TO LEAVE!! To this day, I wish I would have stayed and taken the bus home!!
