  • It is crisp with light syrup, and retains the characteristic taste and aroma of fresh sour cherries.
    The sweet sour cherry goes well with yogurt, cream ice cream and cheese cake.
    Recipe ingredients
    1 Kilo of Cherry
    1 fl. Tea water (200 g)
    4 fl. Tea sugar (800 g)
    1 Sprig of Arborifolia
    1 vanilla
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    Execute Recipe
    Remove the stems from the sour cherries
    Wash them and let them drain
    Remove the pits with the special tool or with a fork
    In a bowl, put 1 kg of sour cherries in layers, alternating
    4 tea cups of sugar (800 g)
    Put film in the bowl and leave for 8-10 hours in the fridge, to let their juices run down
    When 8-10 hours have passed, put the sour cherries and sugar in a saucepan
    Add 1 fl. Tea water (200 g) and boil on high heat
    Stir once to dissolve the sugar
    Skim off the foam that forms on the surface
    When they boil, lower the heat to medium, and boil for 25-30 minutes
    We throw in 1 sprig of Arbororiz
    Shake the pot by the handles to let the cherries bubble up in the syrup.
    Test if the syrup is ready, put 1 spoonful on a plate
    We draw a line, when it gives way the syrup is ready
    Add 1 vanilla
    Juice from 1/2 lemon, and boil for 2 more minutes
    After removing from the heat, shake again so that the cherries swell with syrup
    Store in sterilized jars and turn them upside down
    It is kept in an airtight jar in a cool place, and after opening in the refrigerator
