I can’t tell if everyone is being sarcastic about her voice. In my opinion it’s not the best, but not trying to be rude. I just don’t think she is the best fit for the character.

You are the first person I’ve seen mention it, I always think they’re giving her the benefit of the doubt, which never made sense to me, because whenever somebody else playing Lydia would make a tiny mistake, everyone would jump on it. I agree with you though, she does not fit the character, at all.

You know what? Seeing Elizabeth Teeter speaking openly about the show closing and how it is/was a great experience nevertheless for all the cast and how it will keep living on with the tour actually helps my deal a little better with the grief revolving it.
I like Sophia’s voice but Elizabeth is just full of fun and energy that I love her so much! She reminds me of the cartoon series Lydia, who was less grim and more playful, which is personally my favorite.
elizabeth and alex are an absolutely unstoppable duo. you can tell that they both have gobs of fun doing the show. and if they don't, hey, that's why they're actors i guess!!

We saw them on tour a few days ago at Kravis in west Palm and it was so vibrant even though it seems dark! So much comedy and relevance to today’s politics! From staging to lighting, to cast and crew the whole thing was so amazing! I’ll definitely see it again and bring more people with me. I put this show on the top shelf along side Anastasia in my book! 📕 it was magical Y’all!

I know I am 11 months late, but they don't usually use understudies in anything going on TV, I honestly dunno why. Probably so people can see what they will MOST LIKELY be seeing as they are the main actors
If you compare Elizabeth and Sofia, Elizabeth looks like a tomboy with funny movements, and she also constantly opens her mouth in surprise, which repels me. Sophia looks more graceful, she has more different emotions and she sings better.
It really isn’t necessary to pit performers against each other. Of course everyone has their own preferences when it comes to who you prefer, but to put people down - not really needed now is it lmao
There's literally no point in comparing Sophia and Elizabeth all the time. First of all, they have different ways of bringing the character to life and interpret it differently. Secondly, I'm pretty sure Sophia left the show? It's not like she's suddenly coming back if people prefer her over Elizabeth. I personally love Elizabeth's performance in certain songs and Sophia's in others. And then on top of that their performances can differ depending on the day, because everyone has bad days. So now stop bashing performers because "the other one was better".

the number has been changed a lot for this tv performance- a lot of jokes cut and vocals warped/played from speakers so it’s lost a bit of it’s spark. but performed in the theatre, where it’s meant to be, it’s a great number and show that, in my opinion, outshines the movie in every possible way.
