I'm gonna write the most intimate comment ever. But you were talking about people feeling scared to be ok. Scared of being okay and the change that it involves. Then you broke it down into "What does that mean?" etc. It hit me deep. Especially "Do I deserve to be ok?" and I want to send some love just hearing you break that down. I'm that person. Finally starting to become ok but the whole feeling of "what is this feeling? why does it take so much energy to keep it up?!" and so on and so forth. Scared of being okay and the changes that it involves when you're used to the opposite. It takes effort. It's easier to give up because it's familiar. That's why I love positive reaction channels and Ren. Helps me stay on track.
It's okay to be okay! It's definitely easier to give up because it's familiar, I think that is the trap many fall into. The comfortability of something being masked as comfort. It does take effort, but it is so worth it in the long run. I hope that you continue to know your worth and accept all of yourself, to include the flaws, as you continue to find yourself every day. Don't give up! And you are not alone. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you for that. I am right there with you. I'm trying so hard and its starting to work, but it's so exhausting both physically and mentally, it makes me want to crawl back down into the hole (my bed) where I'm a hostage, but yet I'm used to it and I'm comfortable there.

The greatest thing i learned was the symbol of the sound of the chair in the begining. Turns out it meant something. "Cherophobia is a phobia where a person has an irrational aversion to being happy." The levels his mind goes to are incredible. My Adhd has never been so satisfied with an artist before.

Loving your reactions! I agree with the others, Ren and Chinchilla "How to be Me" live is hauntingly beautiful. Chinchilla's Fingers Live for Hunger TV is fabulous as is the official video for Little Girl Gone. She is on The Voice UK this season. Apparently it was actually about a year ago but is airing now. Her first performance is worth watching - she sings "I Put a Spell on You".

I had a catastrophic fall from my horse 3yrs ago and it's hurt me not just physically, but mentally. Im just starting to dig out from the most dangerous of the medications, but I really feel like Im walking around in Chalk Outline. "Skin feels counterfeit, silicone rubber". I'm getting there. Ren helped, he made me feel truly understood.

Chinchilla is a phenomenal artist on her own, but with Ren just elevates them both.
Chinchillas voice is goes from grunge to silky smooth with a syllable change. Why is she not worshipped yet?!

They were pulling the magic out of each other. Chinchilla did an interview with Chris Leipe. Talked about this. A bunch of takes, didn't specify. Eye lock was not pre-planned.
The first Money Game is actually a huge outlier, as it was the first time Ren and Sam had tried a live, one take video (as opposed to recordings of live performances). They underestimated the complexities of the format, so it took them something like 182 tries! :) Most of his live, one takes since then have been much less. Some just taking 1 go, some taking 2 or 3. Hi Ren took 4 but they used the 3rd take. The one that took the most, since then, was Money Game 3, which took about 18 for the first part. They had to make a single cut there, even though they were initially going for a 1 take. This was because the rain machine was being tempermental and it only ended up working once. :)
Btw, I'm pretty sure it is just a hand-held camera with this video. Money Game 3 was the first time Ren had had the money to afford a proper, professional camera and much else besides. Don't forget that Ren does all this independently. No label, no financial backing, no PR machine, no access to professional video teams, no access to studios, no management. Until a few months ago, Ren was still cutting his own hair, so as to save a bit of money. Any money from his first album, he split between the parents of his best friend, Joe, who'd committed suicide and the lifeboat station that had searched, unsuccessfully, for Joe's body. Even the first part of his latest experimental treatments were financed largely by go fund me donations, topped up by earnings from busking on the street. Luckily he's now financially independent! :)

He does street performances (Busking) with “The Big Push” - There is a great “I shot the Sheriff” mashup out there, if you like some Bob Marley.
You could do a full album reaction to Sick Boi (My favorite track is “Seven Sins”
EDM track he put’s his own flare and lyrics to (If you like more EDM beats) - “Losin it”
And then there is a bunch of variety in his portfolio.
A newer track with a Reggae vibe and a bit of a homage is “Murderer”

Beautiful reaction again brother. Another awesome live collaboration with Ren and Chinchilla is ‘How To Be Me (live)’. To be honest there are so many great Ren songs to react to so it’s hard to suggest what next but a personal favourite of mine is ‘Genesis’. There is an official music video for it, which you should do first, then also a live acoustic video.

There are many versions of lots of his songs which give completely different vibes and sound design. The studio versions are always embellished or changed when live which comes from doing covers as a busker in his former band "The Big Push". They have many amazing videos on youtube aswell, with my favourite being "Wade in the water/Nina Simone/Trouble so hard". Enjoy your reactions alot bro.

They both posted a few days ago that theyve been working on new music together for his next album
You'll have to watch some of Ren's busking videos, solo, with his band The Big Push and with both Sam Tompkins and Chinchilla, to really here how spectacular Ren's vocals can be, when he just lets go. "The Big Push - Wade in the Water/Nina Simone/Trouble so Hard" would be a good place to start.
I also checked and can see that you've yet to listen to any of his rap or hip-hop stuff yet. So many brilliant tracks to recommend, I'm not sure where to begin. My favourite is 'Sick Boi part 2' a fantastic track but if you're going to do that you should probably do 'Sick Boi' first, which is also excellent! 'The Hunger' really showcases some of his rap and beatboxing skills and is a firm fan favourite. 'Losing It' is Ren just having fun over an edm beat but doing so very impressively! I'd also recommend 'Seven Sins', the first track from his number 1 in the UK album! It's another incredible track.
He has so many exceptional songs, in EVERY genre, it's ridiculous. Just pick a Ren track and it's guaranteed to be good. Most are great and he has at least a couple of dozen bona fide masterpieces! Btw, he produces everything himself and lays down all his own music/beats/audio. He also plays about a dozen instruments well. Half of them RIDICULOUSLY well! All entirely self-taught! Basically, if you're unsure who's doing something on a Ren track, it's almost definitely Ren! He even directs most of his own videos! Ren's a unique artist. A musical genius! A once in a generation talent! :)

So glad you checked it out😊 you should really dive into Chinchilla next. The way she performs and sings and just who she is, is something that's missing in the industry. She is also now an independent artist and so she produces her own music. She also makes her own hats, you'll see them if you check her out individually, and her style is just so unique.

I refused medication my doctor wanted to push on me for my Bipolar issues. I told her that I need the manic part so I can get things done, then when I slow down it means that it's time to rest my mind and body, it's ok to not want to always be busy and productive or happy all the time. My down time when not manic is my brain telling me it's ok, sit, sleep relax, stop always doing so much.

Hi.. just ran through all your Ren reactions (again… as they are so good)… but with hindsight I realised we haven’t even sent you to any of his rap tracks… sacrilege!!! Best might be to start covering his Sick Boi album.. starting with Seven Sins.
