My dear friends,
I hope you and your loved ones feel safe, and are taking care of yourselves and each other.
In a time like this, where stress and panic is all around us, it is important to remember to breathe, and to try to find the silver lining.
What is the universe trying to teach us through this? How can we use this as an opportunity to learn and grow? We are forced to change our ways, and instead of resisting, we have to try and be open to new ones.
As a live performer, it is not only the financial aspect that is scary, but also the idea of not having an audience to sing to for an undefined amount of time, and that makes me very sad.
As artists we are used to be creative and, now especially, we need to find other ways to make a living than how we are used to.
That is why I m so grateful to have you guys on my side, and these amazing platforms like Patreon.com where we can build a strong community to support the artists we love.
I would like to share more with you and be more intimate with you.
I want to give you sneak peeks into my composing process as it is developing, the birth of songs, and share feedback about music and life with you.
I want to use Patreon to share raw in-the-works material without having the pressure of needing it to be perfect for public release.
I believe we can build a beautiful community here on Patreon that would exist nowhere else.
This week I will gift to all my patrons my latest album "Just You, Just Me", which will be released exclusively on Patreon.
At the end of 2019 I went into the studio to record some duo tunes with one of my favorite pianists in New Orleans, Ryan Hanseler.
We recorded eleven tracks of which I will only release 2 to the world.
The rest will only exist on Patreon.
I am excited for what’s to come, and to being inspired by all the love that grows from people having to help each other out.
