I found the fault on my 2000, the weight of the transformer on the circuit board had cracked it,with the problem being there was no SW on the Turret ranges, on investigating I found all the dial cord would have to be taken off plus a lot of other dismantling to get at the board, as I put pressure on the board I could get the signal on, so decided to use a piece of packing between the circuite board & the Transformer, this seems to be a permanent Fix so I am leaving it there.
Is the 50 Hz buzzing in the background normal or is it due to dried capacitors? I also have a Satellit 2100 which is doing the exact same thing on LW, SW and MW but not on FM. Is it atmospheric noise or is it from inside the device? This device is my family since 1979 and as far as I remember it hasn't been that noisy forty years ago but I may be mistaken.
@@SLONCC2000 Thank you! In the meantime I found someone who was able to check all aspects of my Satellit 2100 and also changed some dried capacitors. The noise in my case was also local QRM but - in a sense unfortunately - it's not from an active MW transmitter as there aren't any left in my country (germany). But in the evening I can receive the stations which are causing your problem, if you are in the UK.
We use the Gundig Satellit 2100 each day. Our Satellit is 45 Years old.
An extremely tempting radio to seek.
懐かしくて珍しいラジオ受信機の山ですよね。今で言えばスマホのインターネットラジオやワイドFMラジオなどの方がクリアな高音質ですよね。だから忘れては嫌ですよ。悲しみますよ。
@@アスパラトマト-p6u Nostalgia aside, just being capable of receiving all those types of radio waves and signals is what makes it cool.
saugeil!
An der Antenne rumfummeln bring nix. Bei Kurzwelle das Ding nach oben.
Does anybody know the differences between the Grundig 2000,2001, & 3000 models, I have just obtained a 2000 with a few faults to put right.

No, that's local qrn from 300kw mw radio transmiter around 1km away unfortently when running full pwr.
