Could 'poetry' or 'literature' be the West Wind? Who is immortal, omnipresent and omnipotent but lacks a tangible existence except in the imagination of people and is capable of destroying & preserving a society(or humanity in general) and rejuvenates rebirth? Could Shelley be suggesting that he (and any other person) will be able to have a rebirth only if he (or they) is made the 'lyre' who channels the music of poetry although initially it may appear harsh like the 'Winter'?
I have a question: isn't "dome" like the roof of a "tomb" (sepulchre) and the clouds form like archways manifesting the impending breakout of the storm? I'm refering to the II stanza...I didn't read it as doom...
A really detailed and deep analysis of the poem. Thank you
Thanks so much for your reflections on my analysis - I really appreciate it!

My G miss Hannah loves gramma
Picture is sheerly vague😢
'blooms' and 'sapless' are images right? There's no sound involved.
Is it too far-fetched that God IS the Wind?
Certainly a valid and powerful argument! Thanks for sharing your view!
Isn't it a bit unlikely since the poet was an atheist?
@@gowrinandana8999I take your point. Could it not be a critique of religious sentiment and attitudes of the faithful?
This poem is awful awful awful
This comment is more vapid than the wind.
Do not pardon the pun.
