- The government's Rwanda bill will finally become law after the Lords decided they would no longer oppose it.
However, what do migrants planning to cross from France to England make of it all - will it deter them?

I live in Australia. Our government is trying to pass a bill so countries that won’t accept failed asylum seekers back (Iran’s, Iraq, Zimbabwe and South Sudan ) will not be granted ANY kind of visa to visit Australia. This is result of criminality of deportees. Time to get tough!

If a single grifter gets sent to Rwanda I'll eat my own arse. Nobody is going there. Not one person. The HR lawyers will have already prepared umpteen ways to prevent any deportations, just like they do every day of their lives. It won't work and is a horrendous waste of time and money. And if, by some astonishing miracle, it did actually happen(it won't)the numbers going there would be so small that it wouldn't even be worth the bother. Meanwhile, hundreds of grifters are pouring into the UK on a daily basis. Unknown, unchecked, unvetted and many posing a serious threat to the security of this country and it's people. And yet, this useless government couldn't care less, stands back and does nothing, apart from finding them nice hotels to stay in.

If the government opened up a processing centre in France, they could be assessed BEFORE they reached our shores. This legal route would mean they couldn’t even enter the UK without full clearance. & anybody trying to do so could be immediately deported. There’s such a huge misconception about opening a legal route. It would mean we would have far LESS migrants. Once they’re here the government has proven its near impossible to deport them. Processing must be done off-shore!
Opening up processing centres in France would mean working with the French... Which would be a betrayal of Brexit. For most, the whole point of Brexit was the joy in telling the French and Germans to f--- off.

Yes, process them in France, but also stop the boats from entering UK waters. They can board a British boat which will process their paperwork, take them to Libya, bus them to an airport and transport them to Rwanda.

If Germany, France and whoever are planning to deport illegal immigrants they should detain them and not let this happen. The Rwanda Bill is the best thing Britain can do, but they need to speed up the processing and deportations.

Make it law. If asylum is rejected in another country, it’s automatically rejected in the uk for all boat entries. We are already branded an unsafe country, so nothing will change on that front.

The money and resources wasted on Rwanda could have been better used on processing claims quickly on Continental Europe and only allowing one appeal before deportation. That would be a more effective deterrent.
Whichever country these people hail from, they are the wealthy of those countries, able to pay thousands to make the journey. The real victims, are the poor and destitute they leave behind.

There is no way to legally get refuge. Bigots have closed those options off.
Anecdotally, I work in mental health and have seen asylum seekers express anxiety over the Rwanda scheme and being deported. So, personally, I know that it is on their minds.
Why would they be worried? They're getting a free trip to Rwanda, the safest country on Earth.
They will now come in the night and abandon the boats on the beeches - but numbers will be down because they will not be recorded, job done according to the Torys.

We couldn't afford it as a country - each migrant will require us to give Rwanda 169,000 pounds. So it would cost around 800,000,000 pounds a day to send 500 people a day!
Most people don't realise that it's a returns agreement. So Uganda can send us 500 migrants a day. These are likely to be people who are ill, dying, or seriously criminal.

Most of Europe have signed up to the EHCR and yet there’s no issues to deport quickly . The issue is not the EHCR , but the cottage industry of British lawyers making alot of money from asylum claims . The British legal system is the issue and the fact it allows endless appeals against deportation . The EHCP doesn’t make a huge difference , but it’s used as an excuse . Truth is the legal profession are powerful and alot of MPs are part of it . The same applies to poor sentencing of criminals . A revolving door of money to be made . The truth needs to be told on this .!
