    I would guess it's Bradford Pear because of the configuration. But someone mention Magnolia. Maybe. No matter the species the result is what matters. I call that outstanding.👍👍 Thank you for sharing. Have a great 2024 and stay safe.🙂🙂

    Great results. Only thing I'd do differently is to carry that live edge as high up as I could to end with rounded tips.

    Judging by the bark and knottieness, it looks like Pin Oak to me.

    It would have also looked good to use that whole log as a stem, leave a little bark at tthe foot.

    As nice as the finish is, what’s the purpose of making those, sorry to say, useless looking goblets that you cannot drink out of? What would you use it for or would it be more ornamental? Thank you.
