Here's how I think I'd do it. Consider also that you need some guys for special teams, _especially_ now that Cochrane is injured. QB: start Wentz, have Oladokun available, rest Mahomes RB: start Steele, have Ingram and Perine available, rest Hunt and Pacheco WR: use Watson, Remigio, Ross, and Smith-Schuster as your top 4; keep Hopkins active if he needs to hit a contract milestone and activate Thornton as well; rest Brown and Worthy TE: start Gray, have Hendershot and Tonyan available, rest Kelce OL: start Humphries, Caliendo, Humphrey, Morris, and Suamataia; pull Humphrey for Nourzad early; have Driskell and Hanson available and mix and match those 7 guys; rest Thuney, Smith, and Taylor DL: start Anudike-Uzomah, Wharton, Nnadi, and Danna; have Herring, Uche, Ika, and Tuipulotu available; rest Jones, Pennel, Karlaftis, and Omenihu LB: start Tranquill and Chenal; have Jones and Christiansen available; rest Bolton DB: start Hicks, Conner, Nelson, Williams, and Roland-Wallace; have Johnson, Bush, Taylor, and Jones available; rest Reid, Cook, and McDuffie ST: unfortunately, Butker, Araiza, and Winchester will still be in their primary roles (although you could have Reid in just for kickoffs) That leaves you with 46 or 47 active players, several of whom will play only a few snaps if any, and 16 or 17 guys resting. I don't know if that's possible given the constraints of the active roster and the practice squad, but it's at least a starting place.
There should be no rust or let up from this long rest as the Chiefs are lazer focused on the goal. Reid will have them dialed in on the game plan. Fresh legs and energy will be an obvious advantage.
The question isn’t “Bengals or Bills”. The question is…. Would you rather play 1) Pitt/Houston and Baltimore/Buff OR 2) Cincy and Baltimore. Latter one assumes Cincy upsets Buff. I personally would rather play option 1) due to relative weakness of Pitt/Houston. Only reason I can think of to prefer option 2) is because you view Buff as significantly more dangerous than Balt.
You guys gotta be honest about the whole thuney at LT thing.. watch the tape! Andy is giving Joe more help than he EVER gave either Kingsley or Wanya. And truthfully, even more help than he ever gave Orlando Brown jr! That's facts. Now, I'm not trying to say thuney hasn't been good, because he has! He's played very admirably! But he hasn't been shutdown elite level -- not on his own. The pressures and sacks haven't come from his side, but he's also getting a LOT more help! So, if you (or really, Andy and Patrick) are okay with continuing to play like this, with more help staying in, instead of another eligible receiver out in the route, then id say we stick with it and keep that groove and continuity going. If Andy plans on rolling out the "playoff playbook", that will include more 5 man protections, with tackles on islands. And that scares me with thuney out there.. has he done a good job? Yes! But he hasn't been some phenom! I think Chiefs fans collectively thinking Joe thuney has been amazing at LT, is either a testament to JUST how bad the situation was before lol, OR because they don't watch film/don't REALLY know football Xs and Os all that well.
I don’t know what you’re looking at, but he has been great. You need to go back and look at tape again. Yes he’s had some help, but not like that. He’s shut down some of these pass rushers by himself. Nice try dude. Go back and do your homework.
This might be the Bengals last chance, chase and tee want to eat. I think others are up too. How many can they pay two top 5 recivers, qb. Only so much to go around with a cheap owner.
D Hop may request to play - he has a contract incentive related to week 18 game , as I understand . Of course , I’m not coach , but there’s already a mini bye ( 10 days ) between games , then after Denver comes the real bye . I think I’d treat the Denver game much like the preseason - starters for a drive , then start pulling them out . I understand the what ifs ….. but what if one of them slips in the shower at home ? There’s always a what if factor . Just my own thought .
Just read Goodells script , pretty sure its calling for a 3peat Chiefs . Its too bad football is on its last legs and doesn't know it. When a judge rules that its just sports entertainment like pro wrestling the writing is on the wall. Refs are more important than players. Thank Goodell and legalized gambling for the downfall

Good conversation. Thanks.
Reid will have them game planning and studying film with timely practices.
They’re not gonna be laying around on the couch for three weeks .
Don't kurr if they do.
They flip the switch. They'll be ready. They've been coasting for most of this year anyway.
