Oh my, I literally remember the music, scenes of this! I would watch this late at night in the hotel loop...over and over...after coming back in from the arcade in the Contemporary Resort lobby while my parents and siblings were asleep! Thx for sharing.
That arcade was life. I still live about two hours from Orlando, and my wife and I stopped off at the Contemporary during a weekend trip to central Florida like five or so years ago. That whole arcade and little cafeteria area has been replaced by a big, darkened, fancy sit-down restaurant. Heartbreaking.
Thank god for your page and the memories of the old Disney world , I don't think Disney World will be the same after this whole Corona virus. The Disney we knew will be long gone and thats sad, I hope I'm wrong.
This is when Disney world didn't try and push cheap goods at high prices. I remember when a you bought something at Walt Disney world, it was made well and didn't fall apart 5 minutes after you purchased it. Great video, it really brings me back. 🥰
This makes me long for Disney mid-90s...crowds were more manageable, getting dining reservations weren’t an all day fiasco, and pre social media, cells. Take me back.
Guess I really shouldn't be too surprised at how much older than 90s footage they used... Thinking a bit from the 70s and 80s in there... Always love seeing this older stuff!
The last months when you could still go to WDW and see most of it as it had been since the mid-70s. The original Hall Of Presidents would be gone in May and by year's end goodbye to the original Tomorrowland and the next year no more 20K. The Magic Kingdom was never magic again to me.
Bobby Boca There is a recording of the information channel from 1987 here on UA-cam! Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/Gu5AU32bznI/v-deo.html There's a few different uploads of it from that year floating around but this is the highest quality copy of it uploaded. Several years ago I saw there was a recording of the info channel for WDW's 10th anniversary on here but I've been unable to find it again. I was wanting to see that one myself!
Still love Disney World but it becomes more and more obvious that the focus is on CRAMMING as many people in as possible and overwhelming them with merchandise. That may have always been their plan, but it never felt like it back then. It's really in your face now. :(

@@mjrleaguesweetie I couldn’t have said it better. They should’ve kept it there
They had arcade games as far back as the 70s when I went in 2002.
Not a cellphone in sight. I love it! The magic has been lost with too much technology on both sides of the experience.
1993...I would’ve been in 6th/7th grade. My family started going to Disney World annually in 89. I really miss those days 😭
So awesome to see some pristine Resort TV! Thanks for sharing!

Yep, whenever we stayed at a Disney resort from 91-95 (quite a few times), always check this out.
Crap. Now I really feel old for remembering this like it was yesterday.
Omg this brings back memories to a trip i went on as a kid to WDW in 1993, we stayed in the Polynesian hotel
I remember this from when I was 3. First trip to Disney too.
Thanks for putting this up, it was the greatest holiday I had with my Dad.

Wow!! So much vintage goodness

Gonna say it, WDW was WAY BETTER in the 90's than it is now......
Well said, Richard. I long for the SIMPLICITY of this era.
RIP King Of Pop
Thanks for coming by for Michael, he came from Epcot.
This is so awesome! It brought back tons of great memories! Thank you for posting.
I remember this very, very well
this was my favorite part of staying on property

To say that WDW was light years better then is quite the understatement!
Well said.
back when junior age tier meant 12-20 years of age
It would be great if you could find the one from the 70’s.

This was the year the full house cast visited
