That's downright PTSD for me. I spent a month in an ICU burn unit because of a flammable liquid incident.
I went from "it'll never happen to me" to I think I'm going to die in less than one second.... and have the skin grafts to prove it.
You don't ever want to go there!
Dealing with flammable liquids and open flames, stop and think!
It can indeed happen to you!

Measure with water, reduce oil by a half (gotta account for the foaming of the oil), lower bird in slowly with flame off, gradually add oil to submerge the bird if needed. (Adding oil gradually means you don't lose too much temp)

We still joke about our daughter, supposedly taking a nap, getting butt naked and covering herself head to toe with desitin. Imagine the scene when I opened the door and she is standing like that on her toy washing machine 🤣🤣I shut the door and burst out laughing. She had also painted her room too. My husband said he would clean the room if I gave her a bath. Big mistake. She was easier to clean than her room was

Talking about the 5 second rule with steaks, it doesn't matter because you gonna put it in fire, no bacteria can survive the fire, the only thing you should be careful is if some little thingies were stuck on the glistening steak surface. Like leaves or plastic, and that will not be great burned

About measuring the space with water first. Keep in mind that it will start to bubble while deep frying. So leave enough space for the bubbles too.

When I was a kid, maybe about 8, I was in the Cub Scouts. My mom was the den mother. She had a friend who was an Avon rep and got a bunch of cosmetics donated for a project. We packaged up little kits and went to an old folks home to distribute to residents. The ladies got things like lipstick, eye makeup, etc. One of the ladies I gave a package to got into the little bag and pulled out a tube of lipstick and proceeded to eat it. I grabbed the nurse who was nearby and told her that lady was eating the lipstick. The nurse was much more panicked than I was. I'm not sure I'd say it was priceless but we did laugh about it years later.

The way the grill is designed when all that water went on a red hot still burning fire the water expanded and the rest of it had nowhere to go but right back at him.

I bounced my head off a gas grill around the same age. I still have the scar over my eyebrow 40+ years later.

Guga vs Gordon Ramsey! We need this! People don't think you would school Gordon on steaks. I seen some heinous comments. You can't out cook him but the people need yo know who the reigning steak champion is. Give it to the people!

Guga, you know what wouldn’t be a fail? Fry aging a steak in garlic and rosemary with a butter binder.

Safety tip: Never ever ever use gasoline to start a fire, it evaporates quickly and turns into a gas cloud that explodes when lit. Using diesel is fine because it will not evaporate and will not explode.
