That's downright PTSD for me. I spent a month in an ICU burn unit because of a flammable liquid incident.
I went from "it'll never happen to me" to I think I'm going to die in less than one second.... and have the skin grafts to prove it.
You don't ever want to go there!
Dealing with flammable liquids and open flames, stop and think!
It can indeed happen to you!
This is Why Combustion Stoves are the Most I Will Go as far as Cooking with the Fire
For 1:50 to avoid a chance of a fire along with the suggested pre-measuring turn the flame off before submerging the bird, then relight once it's safely in the oil.
or don't deepfry a whole turkey
@@eltiolavara9hmmm, but they are good.
Measure with water, reduce oil by a half (gotta account for the foaming of the oil), lower bird in slowly with flame off, gradually add oil to submerge the bird if needed. (Adding oil gradually means you don't lose too much temp)
@@eltiolavara9 Yeah, I'm actually sticking with your advice. When you consider how "often" most people serve a whole Turkey, the Turkey fryer thing looks more like a scam than anything.
@@valvenator yeah, it just seems much more costly and laborious and dangerous for no good reason
not to mention wasteful because wtf are you gonna do with the oil
You must be a good dad Guga 💙 Take care
3:37 Guga needs to invite those parents and dry age them!
Add a lot of veggies, especially green, as a big treat for Angel.
This proves that guga is a jewel of a man. Refusing to laugh at someone's pain and not getting mad at children being children. What a guy
4:01 Guga is feeling it! 😬😂😅
I think that’s the first time we ever saw Guga was properly angry.
We still joke about our daughter, supposedly taking a nap, getting butt naked and covering herself head to toe with desitin. Imagine the scene when I opened the door and she is standing like that on her toy washing machine 🤣🤣I shut the door and burst out laughing. She had also painted her room too. My husband said he would clean the room if I gave her a bath. Big mistake. She was easier to clean than her room was
Ah yes that is the gamble. Which is easier to do, the cleaning of the child or the mess that they made. No take backs so you better make the right choice the first time lol.
Talking about the 5 second rule with steaks, it doesn't matter because you gonna put it in fire, no bacteria can survive the fire, the only thing you should be careful is if some little thingies were stuck on the glistening steak surface. Like leaves or plastic, and that will not be great burned
About measuring the space with water first. Keep in mind that it will start to bubble while deep frying. So leave enough space for the bubbles too.
I live in a nice neighborhood with an alley behind the house. Before I built my fence I was cooking a pork shoulder on my Weber with the lid on. I checked it and went inside, an hour later I checked it again and it was gone! Somebody stole my Boston Butt right off my grill!! I couldn't help but laugh.
I bought out a lipstick counter from a drug store closure and took it to my daughter's house. My granddaughter and her friends got into it and used it as finger paint and put hand prints all over her bedroom door, carpet, furniture and daughter finally realized what they were doing when she seen the handprints on the hallway walls. Priceless. I'd love to send you the pictures if you have an email address you could provide
When I was a kid, maybe about 8, I was in the Cub Scouts. My mom was the den mother. She had a friend who was an Avon rep and got a bunch of cosmetics donated for a project. We packaged up little kits and went to an old folks home to distribute to residents. The ladies got things like lipstick, eye makeup, etc. One of the ladies I gave a package to got into the little bag and pulled out a tube of lipstick and proceeded to eat it. I grabbed the nurse who was nearby and told her that lady was eating the lipstick. The nurse was much more panicked than I was. I'm not sure I'd say it was priceless but we did laugh about it years later.
2:50 Water on an oil-burning fire, would be my guess. Oils burn so hot that the water basically turns into an accelerant when you try to *_douse_* the flames with it.
Hahaha, Epic footage!
Thank you Guga
4:57 aww reminds me of the story my best friends mother told yesterday 😖 and you're right, ya gotta charish that moment.
5:00 thats some advice some parents NEED to hear
The best thing that you know a little bit about risk assessment and keep your safety tools next to the grill or next to you in the house like fire blanket and fire extinguisher . Keep it safe
The edits are 🔥
U gotta do more of these videos 👍🤣🤣way to funny
You’re funny bro! Really enjoying the reacting videos
Fun vid Guga! I think the guy kicking his grill was doing his level best Sonny Hurrell imitation, except for the whole cooking part 🤣
4:40 that‘s beyond well done, that’s congratulations
Wow Guga is wholesome 😄
"I bet those parents like their steak well done" what an insult lol
Love ur vids
More Guga content please.
guga is so funny and kind..not to mention his skills in making steaks...hes a great person to me!!i would really like to enjoy your steak once in a lifetime!!
2:46 that was water on hot oil. I think he used a lot of accelerators for his fire (similar to oil), and with water, it expended/exploded .
Or it just was a really, really superheated embers.
@@GrotesqueSmurf Yeah I agree, clearly there's no oil in the clip.
The way the grill is designed when all that water went on a red hot still burning fire the water expanded and the rest of it had nowhere to go but right back at him.
If it *was* water on hot oil, the flames would have expanded a lot more and would have probably killed him.
4:05 the "that's not funny" killed me
Ok I was not expecting that. Bravo
3:37
“Pick that thing up and eat it man!”
😂Lmfao!
Nice, change up! Keep the videos comin!
The best way to avoid a fire with oil is super simple. Just kill the flame before you put the turkey in. No ignition source for the oil. Once the birds in, relight the burner
those are so unsafe and ridiculous
What up Guga!!
The eyebrow part had me dead asf😂😂💯🔥
At 2:50 that person is throwing more charcoal on however it has a lot of charcoal powder which ignites in the air all at once causing an explosion. This can happen with flour or sawdust as well.
Blessings in Christ 🙏 my friend
I have to confess: I was "seasoning" the griddle grill I just go tfor my husband...Grease fire ensued. I prided myself on having my grill 20 feet qaway from my house, but unfortunately, a rare red Japanese Maple also went on fire. Yep We had to call the fire dept and I never lived it down
Lobster tail wrapped in a waygu ribeye then smoked with Maplewood. Also have you ever thought of grinding lobster and wagyu up to put them together in a patty maybe with some compound butter helping it.
Also when deep frying a whole turkey, chicken , ect..make sure it is fully thawed. Fully thawed. If not that deep fryer can explode and it can be fatal.
1:09 is makin scrambled eggs.
Crazy Russian Hacker cameo! Love it! He is great!
2:46 Top 1: Oil + Water = 💥 chemistry
Top 2 : Super searing oil = House on 🔥
Best Safe Top 1: Water, not too much splash to the fire bcuz the ashes will explode. Use a ur hand and make like a rainy as shower 🚿
2:50 was probably charcoal dust, if the fire is hot enough it will mix with air and burst into flame like an aerosol.
“The disaster has already happened, just enjoy it.” I love that philosophy!
“Funny, you think that’s funny” guga is hilarious
You should do a brisket tenderized with pineapple.
Guga you are not someone to judge overflow, i have seen several times you overflew butter or even bone marrow
Enjoy the moment. 100%
"The ribs are toasted" more like cremated
Clean the grease at the bottom of your gas grill after every use. a buildup of grease can cause havoc
Guga was speechless about the baby being teased with the meat, poor baby 😔
hey gugga. what type of beef do you prefer grain or corn fed?
The edit with Guga's eyebrows missing is both funny and a bit scary 😂
Guga, please try to make danish pork belly or danish roast pork. It is delicious
Hey, I love your channel, and everytime I'm getting hungry and everytime I'm impressed by your skills, you are such a nice guy too, I would love to see you doing a "Schnitzel", hope you have or had a great day, and lovely greetings to you, and your wonderful community from Germany 👋😊🫂
Edit: just saw you already did it, I would love to see you doing more of German foods, like "Schweinshaxe" for example
If you have a grease fire on your gas barbecue then close the lid and turn off the burners, it’s very simple
Also when deep frying a turkey, beside the water trick, turn the flames off for 10 15 seconds until the birds dropped and you know the oils not gonna boil over
You should come out with a series called "The Eye Brow Awards"
Hey Guga, I've seen you cook with so many different sugary things and as you say, they usually taste terrible. I'm curious, what if you were to use say a 95%+ cacao chocolate that has an incredibly low amount of sugar. It enhances so many meaty dishes (I put it in my own take on bolognese sauce for example) and I think it would make a truly worthy dry age experiment.
That ashfire holy moly...
That gas grill got the EMOTIONAL DAMAGE:).
3:42 is that Leo before he grew a beard?
With the amount of fires in this video, I'm surprised Guga didn't have a liquid oxygen charcoal shot, but it'd probably look something like the guy at 2:47 clip.
Lit you're fire starter first before opening the knob not the other way around
Guga, you forgot to react to the remote grill guy at Faustão
Hey, where did you get this montage of me barbecuing? Nowt wrong with petrol
I have a nat gas grill, I'm always careful with it because its covered by a carport so i can grill all year round (yes you can grill in canada when its -30c, is it comfortable? No, but i still do it) my next purchase will be a trager pellet smoker, and who knows after that, maybe learn how to properly use an offset? Sky's the limit.
Crazy Russian Hacker cameo, nice.
That pantry looked my pantry after Grandma 'helped' my kids make Christmas cookies while I was gone for an hour or two. The kids told me the facts: Grandma couldn't figure out how to open my airlocked flour container. Of course, the older one knew how but she wasn't going to talk back to Grandma about it.
Dry age in chia seeds!!
“I bet those parents like there steak well done”
Guga that might have been a little too harsh…
2:53 that some baad baad burn right there... I'm actually concerned
My elderly step dad was grilling using gas and was surprised when I looked out. He was using aluminum foil for some reason even though all he was making was burgers and hot dogs and somehow started a grease fire. He just left the top open, wanted to go out there to tell him he needed to cut the oxygen from the fire but he isn't the type to take advice well.
How do you get a good crust on a steak if you don’t have a charcoal grill
Imagine walking outside to see the makeshift bonfire your friend made while trying to grill a steak.
2:53 alright I thought it was something just tricking my mind but if you pause and look closer the guys arm is like a surface of lava, so its just stuck to him or did he got really burned
4:36 Close the lid and if possible, turn your burners off.*
Hahaha that Russian guy safety one ....
Lmfao, sorry, I can't help but admit the last twenty seconds had me hearing Fat Bastard going "I want my baby back, baby back, baby back, baby back . . . ribs."
That's video is why I always wheel my bbq to the edge of the patio instead lighting fire 6 inches from my house.
Down the street a few blocks from my home someone set their garage and the neighbors house on fire by using their grill near their attached garage.
4:00 oh god
Yeah, Guga. It's funny.
Why would you turn on the gas and then walk away to get something to light the fire while the gas builds up?
Guga please try dry aging a steak in Chinese Glaze Red tub 01, amazing things might happen 🙂✌😋
0:31: just emptied a gallon of gas on the camp fire.
3:55 Crazy Russian Hacker 😆 🤣
That's why I cook with real wood, sure it takes longer, but I have better control of the fire, and if you do it right you don't need lighter fluid.
Do people really think you're supposed to turn on the gas for a grill and then wait several minutes before lighting it? You need to light it immediately or those bursts of fire are exactly what happens.
I bounced my head off a gas grill around the same age. I still have the scar over my eyebrow 40+ years later.
3:37 😂😂😂
Can you do an india style yogurt marinade steak like tandoori
I'm just waiting for Plasma Barbecues to become a thing, watch some sci-fi explosions happen.
I live for the 5 second rule 😂
My bbq is so small I create grease fires to cook my food 😂
Guga vs Gordon Ramsey! We need this! People don't think you would school Gordon on steaks. I seen some heinous comments. You can't out cook him but the people need yo know who the reigning steak champion is. Give it to the people!
Guga, you know what wouldn’t be a fail? Fry aging a steak in garlic and rosemary with a butter binder.
I'm willing to bet you're going to cry when someone says to you "The disaster has already happened, just enjoy it!" after serving a cooked wagyy a5 tenderloin...
Safety tip: Never ever ever use gasoline to start a fire, it evaporates quickly and turns into a gas cloud that explodes when lit. Using diesel is fine because it will not evaporate and will not explode.
