Do you have an MP40? If you don’t there is this replica company called “Denix” it’s a Spanish company, I bought the MP40 it’s very realistic the trigger even effects the bolt when you pull the trigger.
Fun fact: had the maginot line been extended through to the ardennes etc, it would've been extremely effective. Actually: it was extremely effective, since the germans had to cross the Ardennes, which was widely believed to be very, very hard, or even impossible, with the mobility and speed that the Germans used in Poland
@@joelthorstensson2772 Extremely effective? What a laugh. In Sebastopol, the Germans managed to destroy a Svoeit ammunition storage facility that was at least 15 meters underground. The Maginot forts, for most of them, would have been toast. A few fortresses like the A29 Hackenberg near Thionville, clevery using terrain, would have been alright. But for most of the French border with Belgium? It would have been mostly useless. Fortresses cannot stop air raids or paratroopers. Had one fort been put out of commission, even temporarily, by German fire, the French and British high-commands were far too slow and outdate to react properly. It would have been a repeat of what happened to the Belgian around Liège, during WW1, when the Germans set their heavy guns in place. "since the germans had to cross the Ardennes, which was widely believed to be very, very hard, or even impossible" Yet, they did. They pierced at Sedan, and we had lost the last chance to turn the war around. We didn't commit our airforces on the breach, we thought this was still the day and age of bunkers, trenches, and static warfare. But this was the age of the radio, the LMGs, the paratroopers, the tanks, the airforces. The age of interbranch cooperation and action. We thought this was WW1 or WW1.5. But this was WW2.
It’s so interesting to see the variety of uniforms that were worn by the German infantry in WW2. When I first learned about this, it surprised me, especially when growing up with films like Kelly’s Heroes and others that showed all German soldiers wearing the early war uniform and jackboots. HI Nick, I love what you do, and I'm a great fan of yours, and I have been watching your video's for sometime (very entertaining & informative). The only thing I would say about your latest video is that in your early war (1940) impression you should be wearing jack boots as ankle boots were not issued to the infantry for frontline duty until a little later on, certainly after the invasion of Russia. Overall not bad you seem to have good kit, however, I would improve on a few things. Firstly your kit looks too new, I recommend weathering your uniform aging it. Secondly the way you are wearing your gear is sloppy, make sure you are tightening the belt and I highly recommend internal suspenders, this will prevent the belt from sagging, WW2freak, prussian productions, and myself have great videos on this subject. Lastly are some minor things such as, your ammo pouches are too far apart, German regulation stated that the pouches had to be atleast 1 cm from the buckle. Another thing, make sure that your tunic is well fitted, your sleeves shouldn't be going touching your hand, that's more of a ww1 thing, so it needs to end at the wrist which was the standard, I know not all uniforms were like that but most were and if you're going to spend that kind of money might as well. Again I think you have great kit, however, I think your impression would be more authentic just by making these simple improvements. Love the content man, keep up the good work.
