Have I ever read a Goosebumps book? No Will I ever read a Goosebumps book? No Will I watch a 1:30 hour video of Gavin talking about Goosebumps books? ABSOLUTELY YES!
Maybe the monsters are 'most wanted ' in the sense that they are the monster you'd most want to be in your neighborhood as they are usually the good guy 😂
Wanted: The Haunted Mask is a separate book because it was released for the 20th anniversary of Goosebumps. Kinda like how last year the Slappy Beware book released for the 30th anniversary and isn’t technically a Slappyworld book, but it’s still counted as part of that series.
I get the bad feeling that Stine is either getting senile and forgetting things or he honestly thinks we are stupid. I’m just imagining stine as mr potato head going “ hoo hoo hoo, moneymoneymoney”
Either you’re psychic or I’m psychic 👀 I watched your first goosebumps video a few days ago and have been making my way through them all since 😂 I just finished the last one 🤗 metaphorical popcorn ready 💕
I have no knowledge of Goosebumps past the 2000 books so it's been interesting to track the series through these videos (mostly going nowhere.) I do hope you one day do Stine's Fear Street stuff - I know you did a few random early books around when the Netflix movies came out but I think there's some pretty good stuff in there along with some books you will REALLY dislike because Stine gives in to his "just kidding!!!" thing. Helps that the final book of the series proper ("Trapped") is pretty good.
Reminds me of when me and my friend would always look through the goosebumps and shivers books in the school library at dinner time .. miss those days haha
I enjoy watching this series! It continues to be entertaining watching you discuss the Goosebumps books. I was wondering if you are going to read the Mostly Ghostly series by R.L. Stine. I just remember watching the first adaptation as a kid and being scared. I have never read the books though.
I was really obsessed with the goosebumps books as a child, though I never knew anyone else who's read them. Idk how popular they where in Germany but they where definitely popular to me😅 just found out, because of your videos, that there are so many more goosebumps books in English than in German and I'm actually quite excited to discover some more stories as an adutlt now. Also LOVED the fear street series as a teenager but was quite disappointed by the Netflix films
The dedication, I love it. Have I ever read a Goosebumps book? The mutant one and purely because I kept binge watching a playthrough of the video game based on it and because the guy playing was so much fun to watch I wanted to read the story. As for the rest, well, I have you for it. :)
I love these videos! I have to ask though… Are you planning on doing a Charmed book series video? There seems to be a pretty big set of them in the background.😊
Love the vlog Gav. Absolutely won’t be reading any of these. I occasionally will reread an original series Goosebumps book for the nostalgia of it all, but these later ones get a firm no from me 🙈
I did read once a haunted mask goosebumps book when I was a kid. I did like it because it was creepy dont remember anything else. Have to look if my library still owns it.👀
Technically she could of wrote about going to her uncles house and him still being eager for her to come afterwards whilst never having invited her party therefore coming off weird to her that he was so excited about it
The reason he might lean towards humor is becise he was the editor in chief of Bananas, which was a kids/ teen magazine in the 1970s and it was my favorite. It did profile celebrities but it was also humorous. But it did have a feature, which was true scary things, supposedly and Bigfoot, Bell Witch, Mothman; things like that were covered. So, there is that. I miss those.
I love R.L. Stine, and especially Goosebumps ❤ It's a shame though that Stine is quite a frustrating writer, he isn't daring enough to make most of his stories scary, and since Series 2000 he's been pretty lazy with his writing. We know from books like The Haunted Mask and Cuckoo Clock Of Doom that he can write great children's horror stories. He just often misses the mark 😕
So if i remember right, and i could be wrong, Nightmare on Clown street is a sequel to one of the Give Yourself Goosebump books, Trapped in the Circus of Doom. Where it was waaaay better. The threats were way more dangerous, and the clowns were not suddenly good guys. Honestly those series of books had some interesting details considering the usual affair, so it felt so weird and unfortunate how this pseudo sequel was... different and not as good
I love Goosebumps and RL Stine's books more than Stephen King's books and I would like to see Goosebumps Most Wanted get a tv series adaptation of its books.
Oh man, here we go should be fun. As always just hitting up the most interesting stuff/takes. Most Wanted is my least favorite of the series, there’s more bad ones than I’d like and not as many big hits. Most are just…fine/mid, you can see the idea well running more dry here. The Most Wanted gimmick is wasted as well. For certain books, don’t think Wanted Haunted Mask is good, kinda disliked it. Prologue is good but the rest is just okay and the ending makes it clear these are just random stories meant to be separate that got slapped together. Surprised you liked it but it’s not terrible Planet of the Lawn Gnomes is a sort of guilty pleasure, some good setup wasted on a hilariously weird;/bad ending lol. Son of Slappy I like, felt more fresh than usual for Slappy. How I Met my Monster I agree is mid, I think it’s competent and decent but felt like more of the same. Love the shoutout to my boy Completionist among others. Frankenstein’s Dog I like well enough but just barely, it’s again competent and not as flawed as others but the cover lies and instead it’s fairly standard although I like the robot idea. Dr. Maniac Will See You Now is trash, okay that’s harsh but I don’t like it. Every character is just the worst, and the ending is an insult lol. Makes the first look like high art. Creature teacher Final Exam isn’t as good as the first but it’s still solid. Rehash-y but doesn’t do much wrong, and the ending is arguably a bit better here. More consistent and solid than others in this ser4ies. A Nightmare on Clown Street is one my like 3 standouts for the series. Not ideal all the way through, but I like the subversion of expectations with there being a scary idea behind the true villain that is more interesting than expected. Night of the Puppet People is super mid, just a Slappy story without Slappy. Here Comes the Shaggedy is fine, I like the setting enough and some moments, but the protag is bleh and it doesn’t spend enough time on the Shaggedy. The ending was a bit too cruel to the people who were the Shaggedy as well. Lizard of Oz is blah. Cookie cutter with the twist and the dad sucks a lot, with it taking like 50 pages to get to the concept. Some decent body horror in the 2nd half knda saves it but still weak as the final book. Zombie Halloween is popular for some and I think it’s just average. It meanders too much and the ending is a let dwon. But there’s some good ideas, creepy moments and Grandpa Mo is really interesting to me. Just a shame it feels a bit flat in the end. 12 Screams of Christmas is my over stand out. Meander in some places but it’s not as bad as others. I like the tragic villains, the change up by having the kid see ghosts before the story. Climax is solid too, ending is a bit weak but not terribly so. Compared to so much of Wanted, it more fresh, not all the way but at least somewhat. It just works…mostly. Trick or Trap just kinda sucks. Very same-y and very plot less, there’s a cool idea with the mask and a few decent bits later on but not much is really done with those. It’s just a waste. The Haunter exists. There’s a cool idea in here and it’s passable but is padded with stuff that doesn’t quite feel important. Gets better in the latter half with the idea but otherwise, just a fine whatever book that could have been better. So yeah, some fun times again even if Most Wanted is more like…mid wanted lol. It getting the lowest rating is not too surprising. I feel there are strong ideas here that tend to be as good as it could be. I like your more apologetic moments after some of the comments you’ve gotten, it was nice lol. Screw it, here’s my ranking: MEH: Dr. Maniac Will See You Now Trick or Trap Lizard of Oz Planet of the Lawn Gnomes Wanted The Haunted Mask AVERAGE: Night of the Puppet People Zombie Halloween DECENT: The Haunter Here Comes the Shaggedy How I Met my Monster GOOD: Frankenstein’s Dog Creature Teacher: The Final Exam Son of Slappy A Nightmare on Clown Street The 12 Screams of Christmas SlappyWorld is better than this one in my opinion but not like a ton, so you may end up lending in the same camp, guess we’ll see. That’s it.
Goosebumps was nightmare fuel for me as a child. Also, I thought every boy who read it had a sick mind. Although I realise they had a sick mind regardless of the book lol
I feel sorry for you. I hear you on saying how you Love R.L Stine and how you still Love the Goosebumps branding to this day, but the more you do these vlog marathon like videos on a series like this, the more creativity and vibrant joy of these books that you read from this "time- honored" writer dies slowly from you. Even when you think Slappyworld is the last series in the Goosebumps like lore that R.L Stine writes, another one will get announced, and then another and then another, so I guess Gavin, this whole vlog series is like a Goosebumps book about you in a sense, where you are the main character, the villains are the books, and I'm assured of the fact that the "twist" ending will be the least most scary thing to happen to you in your life as it can get. Still, I wish the best of luck in this and may God have mercy on your threshold of creativity in writing and story-telling
May god have mercy? You are taking this way too seriously. This is his opinion and most people have to admit most of his newer books aren’t as good. And reading the newer books isn’t going to change his nostalgia and opinions of his favorite books when he was younger. What a weird take. I’m sure when he reads them all so close together that doesn’t help at all and I’d have to agree that he should take more time in between books. But then he wouldn’t have the content out for his channel. Gavin is awesome and he doesn’t need your god to have mercy…
@@donlyone94 the fatphobia in Goosebumps is way more than people calling other people fat, it’s like you didn’t even watch this video or any of the other videos I’ve done explaining more in depth the actual issues. Try to not make yourself look more dumb than you already look please and thank you 🙏

It’s always a nice day in the UA-cam neighbourhood when Gavin is back with a Magnum Opus.
it really is
Gavin: There should be more stories set in the past.
RL Stine: Starts to rewrite every book but set in 100 years in the past.
Maybe the monsters are 'most wanted ' in the sense that they are the monster you'd most want to be in your neighborhood as they are usually the good guy 😂
