The black locust I planted 30 years ago where out in full bloom last week and smell great. Now at the end of there life they will provide fire wood for years. My seeds I got on my honeymoon in PA on the Shaquana river where my Grandmother's family lived before the 1777.
They are, if you don’t want them where they are lol. They’re very prolific, and can sucker aggressively, so you need a good plan of how to manage them. They’re mainly considered invasive (even in some of their native range strangely) because they’re a pain to industrial agriculture, as an extremely efffective pioneer species their role is to turn open areas (like farm fields) back into forests. They’re a hard plant to kill once they’re established. The Hungarians saw how vital they were to establishing a homestead, so they brought them back to Hungary and they’ve used them in a big way in their forestry industry ever since.
Hi there 👋, we ship Ships Mast Black Locust seeds across Canada, and can be found on our website :). Some people from other countries have opted to have their order sent to a friend or family member within Canada as a way of getting ahold of them :)

Is it the same shipmast that Edible Acres used to sell? I'm in the US and can't find a source for more than a year.
@@Leonidimus59 unfortunately, I have no idea. We imported ours directly from a forestry research centre in Hungary.
How do i get some from you?
